Attorney Ted Sumner is not, in my opinion, competent. He was not adequately prepared for court, did not perform well in front of the judge and did not appear to know how to file documents or navigate the legal system. Considering how long he's been practicing I had hoped for a much better representation. I felt his overconfidence impeded his ability to do his job and resulted in a bad outcome. I was detained by Officer David Baffuto for what seemed like a bank robbery. The Sunrise police did nothing to this corrupt cop. After all the dust cleared, he finally allowed me to leave, and thus ruining my vacation in South Florida. I asked what I was being detained for, mind you, I had just gotten some groceries from the store, and he wouldn't answer. The other officers covered for him, and its one of the most corrupt departments I've ever seen. My complaints against him went ignored. Please watch out for the Sunrise PD if you're ever in S.
