I work for the goverment which pays me a check every two weeks. they send the checks out a couple of days prior to me getting them. I have been working and getting my pay for 17 years. The last one came the next week and now I am waiting again. i beleive the mailman is holding on because he see's me looking for my checks until he decides to deliver it which. This Valentine's Day they sent out a coupon for 10% off which would apply at the time of shipping and they would bill your check/credit card the discounted amount. I was charges $25 for a renewal of my Barnes and Noble membership over a month prior to when the account should have expired. Not only does this short me a month of membership it also is not a valid renewal as I never pre-approved the renewal. Chase is offering a new product, telling customers that it will not impact their 'cash reserve/line of credit'. Well it does. They now charge you $12 for each transaction made against the account which they opened for you and attached to your checking account. I spoke with someone in their corporate office in NY yesterday and if you don't sign up, your cash reserve/line of credit account will be immediately disassociated with your checking account, they will not pay any charge presented (even if there is only a $1.00 difference), charge you $34 and send the item back. Waited for over a month for the ACTUAL processing of our order, 11 Herman Miller chairs. Assortment of missteps with their CS. Story ranged from, "we expect them to be to us next week" to being blatantly hung up on when calling. Strangely, after constant status checks, our order magically converted to "this order is in the final stages of processing and cannot be changed". BS. I paid $150 for them to set up a website for me in Jan. 2010. I was told that if I applied for a home loan via my web site, I would receive $500 just for applying, whether approved or not. Once I did so, however, and did not receive the funds, when questioned, I was told I would have to have been approved to receive the funds-contrary to what I was told when the site was purchased. I worked at Cheddars for only a few weeks. I was treated very poorly by both my coworkers and my managers. The people eating there only see the incredibly low prices and not what goes on behind the scenes. I was interested in one posting for an Office Assistant - it looked really ligitimate, and responded via the "reply to" button. When I called this company to make a payment, they were extremely rude about it. I would have thought that since they did not have to hound me to make payments, they would be grateful in that aspect. The man that I spoke to did not give me a chance to talk at all, he took my case number, then said pay this much and call when you have money for us. Then he hung up on me.
