I have a buddy that sued PRA and got a $3500.00 settlement. Guess what, he did owe money on the debt they were collecting. He worked with a consumer affairs attorney. The attorney got $2500.00 of the settlement. However, PRA stopped calling him. So call a consumer affairs attorney and ask how you can set these bottom feeders up for a lawsuit. It's evidently pretty easy to prove that they have broken state collection laws. I get calls from them on a debt my ex walked away from. So far I just ignore the calls. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Look at all the complaints and each are the same. They have you pay all or partial payment up front and 5 to 6 months later you still don't have a car. The pad for the leg rest was attached with a weak plastic part which sheared off after just a few months of normal use by a 140 lb. person. This was a very unsafe situation. The patient's leg fell through unexpectedly while being pushed in the chair, and her foot got caught in the wheels when the support pad fell off. Drive Medical should consider recalling the chair and/or replacing the weak plastic part with one that can hold the weight of a leg under normal use. My husband and I went to WILLIAMS & LESLIE PLLC law firm in Austin, TX on 7/20/10 for an intial legal consultation about a potential lawsuit case. They charge $175.00 per hour. We met with Matthew and Leslie for a total of one full hour where the first half of the hour was supposed to be FREE. Instead of being charged $87.50 for the initial legal consultation, we were charged $198.15 (including a referral fee and a credit card service fee). The company sells boat parts online, but while the web site says that the parts are in stock and ready to ship, they really are not. After you order something, they then order from their supplier, when they actually get it they then ship it to you. They don't actually stock anything. They will send you an email saying that your parts are "special order items" and say it will take an additional 7-10 business days before they will ship to you.
