The service was snaking a kitchen drain. The cost -- for a visit of 1 hour--was $371.54! Based on my research online, this is well above the highest costs in a range that starts at $90. When I called for the service, I was told that the visit would cost $79, and tha that fee would be replaced by a standard cost for the needed service, once the service person could assess the problem. The problem was simple--a clogged drain. The solution was a snake in the drain. The cost was a total rip-off. While being insured with Golden Rule/United Health Care, I have had nothing but problems. I started my insurance coverage on Feb. 23, 2009, and my husband went to the doctors March 9, 2009 and they would not cover it. Then I went to the emergency room on May 31st, 2009 and my copay(which they call deductible) was $100. I was formally told by Golden Rule that was all I would have to pay $100 if I were to go to the emergency room. Well my final bill was $581.00 that Golden Rule would not pay. I ordered 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide. The price was extremely high but he claims his is the best. It never came. When I called him he told me that food grade hydrogen peroxide was bad for me.
