This company calls on a regular basis asking for a pledge on behalf of the Foundation for American Veterans, as well as several other charitable organizations. I recently discovered that only about 30% of the money they receive goes to the organization. I am notifying them that I will no longer donate to any organization they "are calling on behalf of ", and to remove my name and phone number from their list. For a list of other charities who retained their services, see www.sos.wa.gov. Eleanor Riley read full review »

Driving down the road at 45mph the transmission of my 2007 Spectra5 jumped with a hard knock to the car and dropped into 3rd gear. Taking the car to my mechanic, he determined after an hour and a half inspection that the "Shift Solenoid" was malfunctioning and that I should bring it to the dealer, this would be covered by warranty. The service department at the dealership wanted $64.50 to read the engine code, my mechanic charged nothing. The service department called to inform me the first step was to change the transmission oil for... read full review »

They show you one price to get you to buy then they don't follow up emailing you the order with pricing so they can get you on the phone to verify something stupid so they can try and sell you up with accessories at high prices. If you don't go for their extras they jack up the price of the camera. I got charged $44 more for the listed price on the camera I bought and they said they gave me a package deal. No deal, just bare bones out of the box with the only extra was a lens cleaning kit that you can buy for a couple of bucks! Bottom Line is, find a reputable store to buy from, these guys rip you off! read full review »

Goodyear Tires
December 29, 2007
About 18 months ago (might have been longer) I was in dire need for better tires on my car so I went to Goodyear in my area and they hooked me up with GE Money Bank w/ a $300 limit. I am a full-time college student on disability and also take care of my aging mother. With so many problems going on in my personal life I failed to notice the fine print on their disclosure until it was too late. I have problems at times making payments on schedule (although they do eventually get paid). Because of a couple of late fees ($29.00 each), my... read full review »

iPower.com
November 26, 2007
I've been trying to get a refund of $176.23 from IPower.com since June 14,2007, for charging me for renewal of domain names that I did not want and did not request. Recently they put another 95.40 charge on my c. card for domain hosting of glamakazes.com that I had cancelled in June and that they "confirmed" at that time that I had cancelled! That domain name no longer exists on the web (or as my property) and hasn't since June 07 - so why would I pay 95.40 for web hosting it? I've written them a dozen or more emails so... read full review »

iPowerWeb.com
July 5, 2008
We're looking into filing a lawsuit against iPower because of their disgusting incompetence and dishonesty. iPower / iPowerWeb has the absolute worst web hosting service! Their customer service is non-existent, their tech support staff is completely incompetent, their uptime and outages are pathetic, and problems are never resolved quickly (if ever). For example, we STILL have not gotten a resolution on one of our sites that has been DOWN FOR OVER TWO WEEKS so far, and it's STILL not fixed! It's an e-commerce site too, and... read full review »

I was about to place an order for brown boots, size 10, cost $80. The next step was the one that concludes the purchase and my inner warning bell sounded because there was no mention of shipping charges. I decided 'they use USPS, how much could it be?' and hit the purchase complete button. The next thing that showed was my charge was $184.00, an extra pair of boots, not my size, appeared on my final charges. I panicked and sent an email to the company to try and cancel the purchases. We have personal knowledge of Jeff Hines, the purported sales manager of 30 Day Funding, and of them, collectively, taking $5000 from a widow, not producing anything that they promised, in their own self imposed time frame and have refused, to date, to refund her money along with their money back guarantee as posted on their website. Dear Chase Card Representative: On Friday 02/08/08, I received my statement from Chase. I had an OVER-THE-LIMIT-FEE charge. It is a new twist to an old scam pyramid or Ponzi schemes are back, and with the help of the Internet, scammers could make millions of dollars and then disappear quickly. Ecco Shoes
September 7, 2007
It appears that nothing has changed at Ecco. I used to buy Ecco shoes for their comfort but found that on three pairs of shoes the centres of the soles came away after little wear. The reason for this as far as I could observe was simple. It appears to be that they stamp their 'Ecco' brand name large and very deeply into the rubber sole to the extent that it weakens around that area. Believing that I was doing them a favor, I wrote to them (no reply) and subsequently spoke to them (with little courtesy). They told me to send the... read full review »
