I signed into free credit report.com and agreed to pay $2.97 for a "free" credit score and report. I did not recieve the credit report, only the score and a day later was shocked to find that this company had withdrawn $68.73 from my account without my permisson.There was no information on this site and there was no fine print that said i would be charged this amount ever!! I paid over $500 for a hotel room at the Hyatt Regency in Washington DC. The toilet didn't flush. I complained and was told they'd give me a $50 food and beverage credit - except I only has a $27.00 food and beverage bill. I was told I should have complained at midnight when I finally went to my room - they would have moved me. AT MIDNIGHT - in a sold out hotel - when I had a flight at 7:00 AM. I find it stunning that a hotel the supposed quality of Hyatt Regency had broken toilets. Well, at the end of 2009 I started being harassed by magazine agencies offering "gifts" in return for fees. This old scam seems to work like this. They record your conversation and every time you say yes or something similar, you are agreeing to pay for something. I will even go as far as saying they will save and edit these recordings to further scam you, but that is a theory.
