Poor knowledge of replacement cell phone policy
Under a month ago, purchased from Metro PCS at the 13200 block of Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, Calif. a Kyocera Laylo cell phone. Found out the camera did not function. Took it to the 6th Street Metro PCS store in Corona, Calif., was told by lady to take it back to where I purchased it. So I drove 40 minutes back to Anaheim, California where I was told to take it to the corporate store at Warner-Bristol in Santa Ana. Lady did not know the address of her own corporate store..but was able to give me directions on how to get there. I asked her, why she did not have the address..she said she was not given the address. Her fellow employee agreed. At corporate store, 25 minutes later drive, Robby finally figured it was a bad phone, went to the back room and came out to say there were no replacement phones and to come back in 6 days, after 4pm. I drove over 1.5 hours and delt with Metro PCS employees who are so poorly trained they do not really help and are not given corporate address of where to go to replace the phone.

custumer service
metro pcs stopped selling a phone because of too many complaints. would not send recall on phone but e-mail stopped working on phone out of the blue and now they want 5 dollars a month for the service because of the brand of the phone even though people with the same plan but different phones do not have to pay extra for this service.

OVERCHARGES
METRO PCS NEEDS TO BE SUED! FOR FALSE ADVERTISING! BEWARE OF THE 40.00 PLAN WITH TAX INCLUDED! THAT IS A JOKE THEY TEXT ME AND TOLD ME TO PAY 42.17 YOU CAN NOT GET ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT.

Very bad Customer Service
About a month ago the phone screen turned blue with an error about some port couldn't be found. Couldn't turn the phone off took the batter out and still the same thing happens. We go the local office and show them what is going on and they said oh this is under warrenty and it will cost $11 to get a refurbished phone. So we order it and they say it will be about a week for the phone to come in. After a week we go back into the store and they tell us oh we forgot to order the phone so they tell us we will order you another phone and it will be here Wednesday 02/24/10. I call the store today 02/25/10 to be told that it might be here some time next week not real sure. I explain this has been going on for almost a month now and I have been paying my bill on time never late. He said oh, what do you want me to do. I said I need this phone. So needless to say still no phone but still have to pay for the service so that I can keep my other phone in service. Tried to call corporate and got no where with them. I have been with Metro PCS for over a year now and its been one problem after the next with these folks and customer service is just as rude.

ripping people off
my daughter bought 2 cell phone on 1/29/2010 at the store on friday by sunday the phone she bought for herself the screen went blue she took the phone back up on tuesday and they could not fix it so the young lady at the store told her to take it to the corporate store in tampa and get her money back and she also suggested that she get another phone because they would refund her money back so she got another phone under the pretense she would get a refund back for the other phone . she took it to tampa they would not give here a refund because she got another phone in place of it she had to have a phone because of her kids needing to get a hold of her. they told her more or less to bad no refund she spent a 140.00 on a phone she could not use and they would not refund her only had the phone for 3 days and then spent another 90.00 on the second phone we asked for the managers name they would not give it to us just gave us a # 813-948-2011 said to ask for mark or brittney we asked if they were the managers would not tell us this is very pour business at these times with the economy and people not have jobs you dont treat people like this and i will be going to the tv station with this re: the store metro pcs

Fraud
I tried to purchase a cell phone online with metro pcs.They said my card needed a sigature and could not proceed with the purchase.Then they sent me a e-mail telling me my card was not charged.They LIED ! They charge my card four times for the amount of 48.07 which came to a total of 192.28 and I live on a fixed income so I can, t afford to get robbed. Thank you for helping me!

Cell Phones without warantee
Two months ago my daughter and my husband bought me a cell phone birthday Hint QA30 Motorola, which had problems on the screen, when I went to complain about the warranty I was told not covered the warranty. Call the company directly from Motorola told me that the code that has the phone this phone might not be being used in the U.S., this phone was made to China so the warranty you have is from China! At last one claimed responsibility for the problem and had to send it to repair and pay myself for the manufacturing problem that had the phone!
Be careful before buying a phone and ask to verify if your phone has warranty on the brand of phone! because after Metro PCS does not cover anything because I really have no warranty!
CELLULAR PHONES ARE PIRATES!

Unethical Business
I purchased a phone and accessories through the Metro PCS website and when I got the package there was NO PHONE, only the accessories. There was an invoice saying that they sent a phone and the accessories so the phone should of being there. I immediately called Metro PCS to let them know about my issue. Well my issue wasn't resolved and it has been over a week now and still they haven't resolved my issue. As i talked to multiple "Costumer Service Reps" or so they call their service, I have gotten different answers and yet nobody seems to care, I even talked to a supervisor and all he said was to fill out an online form. Well I did and finally they sent an e-mail saying that a replacement was going to be sent the next day, there was no other information on the e m-mail.
I have called their 888 8metro8 number as indicated the by the e-mail detailing my purchase but unfortunately when I have called them they say that they have no communication with the shipping department. After paying for three day shipping through FedEx, I got my phone over a week later and Metro said there wasn't anything they could do. When I got the phone I attempted to activate it and their system said it couldn't be activated. I called to talk to an actual person and they said I had to go to a store in order to activate the phone. I went to the store the next day and after waiting about ten minutes I was finally told that they had to fill out a form and that I had to wait another 24 HOURS in order for them to be able to activate my phone. Well, let me tell you they didn't wait until I received my order in order to charge my credit card. I have gone almost two weeks without a phone and yet they don't want to take responsibility for any of their wrong doings. WHENEVER I TALKED TO THEIR COSTUMER SERVICE AND EVEN THEIR SUPERVISORS, THEY CONTRADICTED THEMSELVES IN MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND NOBODY SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT. THEY HAVE REALLY BAD COMMUNICATION SKILLS, THEIR SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. NOW I WANT TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM AND RETURN THEIR PHONE (WHICH HASN'T BEEN ACTIVATED) BUT I AM AFRAID IT WILL TAKE FOREVER TO GET A REFUND!!!
THEY LIE THROUGH THEIR ADVERTISING, THEY WANT TO CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS KIND OF COMPANIES GET AWAY WITH SUCH FRAUDULENT BUSINESS, I THOUGHT THIS ONLY HAPPENED IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES.

Lousy Customer Service
Went to add an additional option onto phone plan which cost $5 a month and the monthly price jumped up $10 a month. When I went to call the company, their automated system would not patch me through to a live person. I hit "0" 4 or 5 times and the recording kept saying that it could help me faster. In addition, their website kept crashing even though I was referred there.
The phone service for this company is adequate but the customer service completely sucks. Their support is awful. I found that it is impossible to communicate with anyone from this company. They do not even provide an email address on their website. They take the money and that is it.
And I thought AT&T was bad.

monthly subscription payment
I have been trying since Dec 18th to contact someone regarding my payment recent subscription plan change. There is absolutely no website other than the one to pay your bill.
The only way to contact them is if you drive to a service center.
That is what I did on the 18th attempting to make instant payment before my phone was disconnected.
I was told the store only took cash for payment.
While there, I asked them to change my plan(wanted to decrease amount and was told that would be taken care of.
I went home and online and proceeded to make a payment. I assumed it was still the amount I was paying and paid for that amount. $15.00 less than I had been paying.
Shortly after 'that I was notified that I had made a recent change in my subscription and I was to submit that new amount or my phone would be shut off.
I texted the company stating that I had already paid my bill and that payment was made (assumed that I would just have +balance for next months bill. I stated that they better not discontinue service until paid or I was quitting company.
three days later and my phone service is still not on.
I work midnights and am unable to go to service centers constantly.
I am done with this company!
