Bait and switch promotion
T-mobile ran a valentines day promo on Saturday/Sunday 12/13 February 2011; free phone with an upgrade-eligible account; so my wife and I went and got a new phone. However, we didn't like the new phone, so we went back on Sunday to exchange with a blackberry smart phone (and a more expensive plan). The customer service agent informed us to come back on Monday because the agent that helped us on Saturday would be in the office. So we went back on Monday; the agent wasn't there, another agent informed us that he can't exchange the phone, because he needs a manager authorization, and the manager is not in the store; so he asked us to come back on Tuesday, and offered a $25 credit to our account for inconvenience...sounds civilized so far...
We went back on Tuesday only to find out: we're no longer eligible for the offer, there's no way the manager would honor the promises we were given over the past 3 days, and his only consession is an apololgy, because his agents didn't know the process.
I'm disappointed with T-Mobile, and completey dissatisfied; I've been with them for 10 years...I think it's time to change. They will nickle and dime you to death...check your bill every month, there's a high probability there's a new charge they want to pass on to you...
Shame on you T-Mobile...bait and switch is not acceptable; there are many options to consider when going with a cell provider...you won't be one of them for our family, and everyone that asks me for my opinion.

T-mobile lies about their deals -watch out
I have been a T-mobile customer for five years and i now regret the day i joined this company.These company is a big scam!...they lie to get you in and they lie about their free phone promotions...SHAME ON YOU ALL!. On wednesday, Feb 9 th 2011, i called to pay my bill, the supervisor who processed my bill told me that i qualified for a free phone...just for being a customer for five years. She gave me a list of the phones that i could get for free blackberry 9780, my touch, lg optima etc..she told me to call on feb 11 or 12 because thats when the free phones were being offered. I was so excited...i even told my friends to call so as to get new phones too. On feb 11 i called for the free phone...the first rep i spoke to treated me like shit...she even said there was nothing on the comp to show that i had been promised a free phone...so i asked her to contact the supervisor who had processed my payments ...she said she was gonna email her...and she would contact me within 24 hrs...On the 12th i called, the rep i spoke to (name Matt 1d#065301) treated me like shit once i told him i was calling about the free phone...he also said there were no records to show that i had been offered a phone...i then asked him to contact the girl who had processed mt payments to clarify the phone deal...he rudely replied that he had no way of contacting the girl...i asked him...how come the previous day a rep had told me she had emailed the girl...he first paused...and then stated that he considered my case closed...no phone for me!...GO TO HELL MATT...LEARN HOW TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS!...what a big scam...i am so pissed off...T-mobile made a fool of me...i wish i could get hold of that woman who offered me the deal...but the reps won't transfer me to her direct no...these scammers are all in this game of enticing unsuspecting customers with free phone deals...my two days have been wated by this stupid ass company! Shipping delay
I ordered a NOKIA 2330 BLACK KIT Mobile phone on 2/4/2011 and the order is not yet shipped till today (2/11/2011). When I talk with the customer service on phone, they keep saying that they had to close their warehouse due to severe cold and snow. I couldn't find any news of such closure anywhere in US through google. I am still not sure if I will get my phone - it is just a common model and should be readily available.
I think T-mobile always has this issue for online orders. My advice to others is to always buy directly from a store if you are buying t-mobile.

CONVERTING SERVICES
I HAVE BEEN A T-MOBILE PREPAID CUSTOMER FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS NOW. BUT ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2011, I DECIDED THAT I WAS TIRED OF BUYING PHONE CARDS, BECAUSE I SPEND OVER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH PURCHASING PRE-PAID CARDS. I DECIDED TO CONVERT OVER TO THE FLEX PAY PLAN. BEFORE I LEFT THE STORE, I WAS TOLD THAT MY SERVICE WOULD BE ACTIVATED WITHIN ONE HOUR. WELL, THAT NEVER HAPPENED, SO I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE, AND ASKED THEM WHEN MY SERVICE WOULD BE ACTIVATED, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE 24 HOURS, I WAS FINE WITH THAT. BUT THE NEXT DAY, MY SERVICE STILL HAD NOT BEEN ACTIVATED, SO I CALLED THEM BACK, AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE 48 HOURS, I KEPT CALLING THEM EVERY MINUTE TRYING TO GET THIS SITUATION CLEARED, THEY TOLD ME TO BE PATIENT, THAT MY SERVICE WOULD BE ON THE NEXT DAY, WELL THE NEXT DAY, IT STILL WAS NOT ACITIVATED, AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE 72 HOURS BEFORE MY SERVICE WOULD BE SWITCHED OVER, AND BY THIS TIME AS ANYONE COULD IMAGINE, I WAS UPSET, BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE JUST KEPT GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND, THEY KEPT TELLING ME THAT THEY WOULD TALK TO THEIR SUPERVISOR, AND THAT THE MATTER WOULD BE HANDLED IN A COUPLE OF HOURS, AND THAT MY PHONE WOULD BE WORKING, A COUPLE OF HOURS PASSED AND NOTHING STILL HAPPENED, SO I KEPT CALLING, THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING, THEY WOULD TALK TO THEIR SUPERVISOR TO GET THIS MATTER TAKEN CARE OF, AND TO CALL BACK IN A COUPLE OF HOURS, MY SERVICE WOULD BE ACTIVATED. I GAVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, SO I WAITED MORE THAN TWO HOURS TO CALL THEM BACK, AND I STILL DID NOT GET THE ANSWERS THAT I WANTED, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL BACK TOMORROW TO GET THIS MATTER TAKEN CARE OF. SO, FINALLY I WAS AT MY WITS END, AND I FINALLY CALLED BACK TO CANCEL MY SERVICE, AND THE FIRST THING THAT I WAS ASKED WAS, WHY DO YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR SERVICE? AND I KINDLY RESPONDED BY SAYING, I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT PHONE SERVICE FOR 4 DAYS, AND I AM SURE THAT IF YOU WERE IN THAT SITUATION, YOU WOULD DO THE SAME THING, AND AS USUAL THEY TALKED ME OUT OF IT, BECAUSE THEY PROMISED ME THAT MY SERVICE WOULD BE ON, AND THAT THEY WOULD IMMEDIATELY GET WITH THEIR SUPERVISOR TO HANDLE THE SITUATION, AND IT NEVER HAPPENED. I'M NORMALLY A CALM AND COOL PERSON, BUT THIS REALLY DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE, AND IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE FOR THESE PEOPLE TO KEEP GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THIS. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY PHONE FOR FOUR DAYS, AND THEY STILL CANNOT GIVE ME ANY ANSWERS, THE ONLY THING THAT THEY KEEP TELLING ME IS THAT THEY WILL TALK TO THEIR SUPERVISOR, OR THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE CONVERTING THEIR SERVICES, THAT'S WHY ITS TAKING SO LONG. AFTER THIS, IS WILL CANCEL M SERVICES, BECAUSE I NO LONGER WANT T-MOBILE AS MY MOBILE CARRIER.

I am a loyal customer at T-mobile for a year. I am extremely saddened by the customer service of this store. The time was 6-7pm on January 19, 2011 with the incident occurred.

The store manager did not help me with my Blackberry which is dying. The phone battery is dead. He would not work on my phone because “I told him that he was condescending and disrespectful towards me”. I still have not received any help from T-mobile. I have a right to my opinion. I am stand strong on the store manager’s performance.
I asked the store manager to give me his name, district manager name, and phone number. If the store manager felt he did not do anything wrong- he would of provided any information that I needed to make a complaint. He frustrated me by not giving me his name or any information, and not fixing my phone. He did not follow procedure and lacked professionalism.
I am cancelling my service with T-mobile. I feel the professional level of your company is despicable. I am not going to pay for service that employees are not going to HELP the customer, refuse to give their names or manger’s information.

fraudulent charges
T-mobile has refused to remove charges to my bill that were unauthorized. I went to a t-mobile kiosk in the Broadway Mall in HIcksville on Long Island. I was considering purchasing a new phone for my wife. I decided against it. I just received my new bill and there was three one time charges for my existing three phones. I called customer service to find out what these charges were for and was told these were one time charges for upgrading my cell phones. Apparently the dealer in the kiosk submitted these charges even though I did not upgrade my phones.
Customer service said there was nothing they could do. They acknowledged there was no proof I authorized these charges or any proof I received new phones. Clearly t-mobile allows it authorized dealers to add charges without proof. Except for the inquiry at the kiosk I never dealt with this dealer or ever purchased anything. This is outrageous that t-mobile would allow this kind of fraud. do not trust t-mobile or do business with them

Charged for a phone service I never had, and was reported to Telecheck
For several months I have received letters from T-Mobile and now their collections agency asking for payment of a cell phone bill. I have responded by writing to them and telling them I have never had a T-Mobile account and that I do not acknowledge this debt. In my letter, (November 11, 2010) I also asked them to send me a copy of the contract they have on copy which contains my personal information. They have not do so. Instead, I have received notification from Telecheck (December 29, 2010) that I wrote and then cancelled a check I sent to T-Mobiles wireless insurance company, Asurian. I contacted Asurian and they say I have no account with them, and have not sent them any checks. I wireless insurance is included with my cell phone company which I have had for over six years. After doing some checking, I discovered that both T-Moble and Asurian had received fraudulant payment from by acount via the internet six years ago. And although the matter was cleared up, they seem to have accessed my account information again and just to get their bill paid by me. There ought to be a law. Now I have to run around collecting information and notarizing documents just so that I can once again write checks.

Marketed to Do-Not-Call
I received a sales text, despite having been opted out of all marketing communication. The text included the phone number of the local branch where I got my phone. I called them, asked to talk to a manager, and they said yes, they are aware that many people who were on the 'do not call' list were contacted.
The store manager did not have, or did not give me a contact number for the regional office that was responsible. The customer service people referred me only to a PO box in Albuquerque to send a complaint to.

they would fade in and out a supervisor told me if i'm not happy they can get me out of my contract, they lie $200 for a ETF is a joke

Bad Return Policy
T-mobile absolutely SUCKS! They used to be superb, but not anymore. I bought a smart phone for my dad, because it was the only phone they have that is water-resistant. But, realizng he is never going to take advantage of the data, I returned the phone 7 days later never having broken the seal on the box. Not only was it REALLY difficult to cancel the data service, they are billing me for the 7 days.
