We live in Colorado and have been getting ongoing calls from telemarketers trying to sell us an extended car warranty. We have been getting at least 3 to 4 calls a week for the last 3 months. Lately it's been a lot more and today I had 4 calls. Every time they call I ask to have our number removed. Because I noticed we have been getting more, not less calls in the last few days, today I started asking for the name of the company. Upon arriving to pick up my car that Cal-Alta was replacing the windshield on I noticed that there was damage to the rear bumper that was not there when I left it with them a few hours earlier. They refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the damage even though they stated that many other vehicles had been damaged in that very "Public Lot" over the years where they park all vehicles after servicing. In continuation to my complaint, I was informed that it is not a scam and that I would be responsible for all costs involved in order to receive the award and prize cheque. The cheque was issued by Lloyds Bank of London according to Dennis Coker. The prize and award is seized by customs where another certificate is necessary to release same This cerificate costs the amount of fourthousand pounds which should be paid in the form of taxes to the State. My husband and I purchased a car in February and by March we needed a new engine. We brought it to Toms Automotive. Spent around $2000 for a rebuild engine. Got the car back about the end of April. Went to EM's lube shop for oil change and was asked they could check my air filter. The technician wedged the air filter housing apart vertically snapping of the fastening tabs on the back of the housing-very large noise as the tabs broke that was loud enough for the other technicians in the shop to hear and all look over. I then asked if anything had broken and the technician lagughed and said not at all. Technician then pulled the air filter out dragging it through the broke housing thropugh the gap created. I was double charged by bp oil. Yes they resversed the charges after a couple of days but by then the dammage was done. the second time they put the charge through it caused me to be over drawn which caused a second item to bounce, costing me $76 in bank fees and now they tell me it will be 4-6 weeks before I get that money back. Cargo Craft trailers Ashley Paulk and their dealer MacCargo Trailers/Todd McDermott sold us a 36' gooseneck cargo trailer. They have committed fraud by billing us for torsion suspension and providing spring suspension they did this with full knowledge. This was over $400. I purchased a 2004 GMC Envoy on 04-27-07 with 34, 125 miles on it. Since then I had a brake pad fall off while I was driving the vehicle. I replaced all four brakes, rotors, and tires. I have replace the instrument panel, secondary air pump (was filled with water), spare tire release mechanism, tie rod, wheel bearings, and most recently I had to replace the muffler and a section of the exhaust system. I thought I could send my wife in and not worry about her being taken advantage of here but that was definitely not the case. I had her take her car in for a front brake job but instead they talked her in to a rear one so the problem with the front end vibrating did not get fixed until they did an alignment, turn the front rotors, and tried to get me to buy tires there but I would not. I leased an Acura TL three years ago and was talked into buying a LoJoack detection package for a ridiculous amount of money that was tacked on to my monthly lease price. I was told that the expense was worth it because I would have it forever, no matter what car I owned in the future. Now that I'm ready to lease another car, I find out that the LoJack stays with the car it was installed in FOREVER. I purchased a BMW from Tom Bush with a CPO for 100, 000 miles. At the time of purchase it was clearly mentioned to me that the CPO covers "bumper-to-bumper" except for tires, batteries and lights.
