My sister referred me for ATT Uverse. They advertised that not only would the person who made the referral but also the person who subscribed to the service would receive Visa gift cards. On 2/23/10 a charge of $1.00 showed up on my credit account with a payment going to Discount Book Sale in Florida. I did NOT authorize and charges for them. Called them and asked how I got billed for $1.00. They said it was for a $1.00 Trial membership. I HAD NOT AUTHORIZED any such trila membership and do not want one since they charge a $12.00 to $19.00 monthly fee after the trial membership to buy books from them. Purchased a new tv. Had it shipped to my home in WI. When I recieved it and oped it up, it was a used tv. Scraches all over it ans the stand had already been attached. Talked to Samsung and they informed me that they do not package there tv's with the stands attached. They also put protection on the screen. Which this one did not. I say if your paying 8 dollars a person to watch a movie in that establishment they should treat you like a paying customer. Having been watching BBC from their gold package with no sound except repeating short clip of music since midnight Monday 22 Feb 2010. It's over 2 hours now. No apologies. No explanation. I purchased through Xperience Day a Brunch Cruise for Valentine's Day ( I was celebrating also my wedding Anniversary). My husband love to be on the water. It then starts to list about 20 trojans and worms that have "suddenly" infected my computer. I can't close the darn thing. It keeps popping up, disabling all of my other open applications. Had trouble with my computer, I could not get on the internet off and on issue, it finally go worse and I just could not get on. I took my computer to Best Buy and they simply shut off Trend and I was able to get onto the internet. I deleted Trend and kept Webroot. Subway charged me sales tax on adding money to my sub club card, and then charges me tax on individual uses. That is double taxing on the same purchase. I contacted them, and they agreed that it was wrong. However, they never issued me a refund as they had said. I would think double-taxing on the same purchase is illegal.
