On Saturday the 17th of October NTL/UPC came out to fix my neighbours pipe. He took the lid off a man hole and 'tagged' a wire as he called it and as a major coincidence my pipe went. My partner confronted him and told him he had knocked off our telly. The reply 'no I didn't do that'. Subsequently, charges of $14.95 have appeared as "Shopess Plus" on my credit card statements on 7/10/09, 8/9/09, 9/8/09, and 10/8/09. I ordered Amos 'N' Andy movie package on 9/26/09. They charged my credit card and never sent the movies, nor responded to the many e-mails I sent requesting my movies. One big ripoff. Not only did they not send the DVD collection that was advertised, but they do not have a return address listed on their website (presumably because the items are drop shipped from somewhere in Asia). The DVD's labels were hand written on (i.e. "disk #8, disk, #9, etc.) and the quality was third generation out. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Within the past year I prepaid for songs that I could download at later date. I might have used 2 or 3. I recently went into FYE website to download some songs, I presumably paid for and couldn't find the option to download. I purchased a LG 42LB1DRA LCD TV in June 2007 based upon CNet and other recommendations. January 2008, just 6 months out of warranty, the picture went out. $150 replaced 3 capacitors. The authorized repair center stated LG put in the wrong size of capacitors, meant to last a short period and burn out quickly. The capacitors weren't big enough for the power supply.
