Rebuttal to "Misty" Two wrongs do not make one right. Perhaps the person you responded to was not even aware of doing anything wrong, if what you say is accurate. I have personally been fighting TWC for the past 3 years for their fraudulent practices of promising one charge for a particular account and two months later, adding further non-justified charges. On the 10 th June this year this company removed £49.99 from my bank account via direct debit.This was unauthorised and should have been £6.50. The company have now cut off the phone and do not reply to my letters.The money has not been paid back. (They removed the same 49.99 back in Jan this year but refunded that two months later saying it was a mistake.) 8/21/2009 switched from dish network to direct tv, ordered package that includes dvr, they came and installed and then explaining remote i asked how does dvr work i was then informed i did not order dvr so these are standard recievers. The past few years my husband and I have enjoyed the Prime Rib at Hungry Hunter in Lafayette, and make a point of going there for our Anniversary and Birthdays. However, on July 2nd we were very disappointed. Our Med-rare Prime Rib was over done, or pre-cooked and heated up, and our potatoes were undercooked. The service was excellent; the dessert sublime, but the dinner was not enjoyable at all. One other couple complained also. We took our New Zealand visitors to Port Townsend, WA and ate at the Lighthouse Cafe on Water Street. This was the worse restuarant I have been to in many years. The food was inedible and the service was slow. It was run by a woman and her mother. The woman was our waitress and then became our cook when some other people came in. The mother spoke no English and only brought out the food. They closed the restuarant 5 minutes after we got there but allowed more people to come in and be served anyway. Very strange! I dropped my service with Charter on 7-20-09 because I got so sick of the crap with it and the price. When I dropped it I ask about my refund on what I had paid they informed me it takes 6 or 8 weeks to get the refund. Now this seems a bit much as they bill in advance if I waited that long to pay my bill what would happen, I feel sure they would have disconnected it all and paid me a visit for non payment. I did not knowingly sign up for automatic renewals of Spyware Doctor, but my credit card was billed 4 weeks in advance of my subscription ending. Their website noted that you would be warned when the subscription was ending, and given the option to renew. I am a Verizon customer and when Verizon offered satellite TV service through Direct TV (DTV) I called them to order TV service. The operator asked fror my SS Number and I refused. I was told that this information was needed to check my credit worthiness.
