On the back page of the Parade Magazine...was an ad for a free Jillian Michaels Diet Book witch stated $4.95 Shipping was all you would pay for the book. When I checked my statement, they charged $52 because at the bottom is a box to check that basically signs you up for the diet club at $4 a week. When I called to complain and ask for my money back, all they would refund was $36...so the $4.95 shipping turned into $16. Luckily, I caught it before it went any further. Jacks is a cafe in the southworks mall. I had ordered a special they advertised for 6.99 which was a BLT sub. I noticed the bread seemed very stale, and upon examining it, the bread has mold on the bottom of the bun.My husband had a salad which the lettuce was noticably brown and soggy. Hello, I am reporting piracy of DVD box sets by an internet company called emartix.com. Emartix.com advertises their products as new and factory sealed. I purchased a box set from them and quickly discovered the discs do not work properly. After closer examination, there is a strange adhesive mark on the back of each of the 44 discs. Two guys came to our door and told us they were selling magazines for a scholarship. They said they would gain points for purchases, but that we could cancel as soon as we bought and they would still get the points. After purchasing two magazine subscriptions for $71.00 each, we've been trying to cancel for days and no one ever answers the phone but the machine. Two high school-aged girls came to our door in November 2008 selling magazines. They told us it was for a leadership program that they participated in, and that there was a contest (boys vs. girls) to see who could sell the most magazines. Went on Mothers's Day for a nice, expensive dinner. Gave my car to valet. Realized the next day that my GPS and video ipod ($500 worth of equipment) had been stolen--with the chargers! Restaurant absolved themselves from any responsibility, but claimed they would check their surveillance cams and help as much as they could. Valet company accepted no responsibility (after making me file a claim form and wait 2 weeks for a denial), and offered no alternatives. On Thursday night of 9/6/2009 my son and myself went to the mcdonald store above. The time was 9.05 i needed to go to the ladies there was no toilet paper in either toilet and the floor was disgusting. I bought the complete compilation of Auggie Doggie Doggie Daddy cartoon episodes from a website called oldschooltoons.com. The quality of this product was ridiculously poor. It looks like something someone threw together in their apartment. The "case" the DVD came in had a cover that was simply a copy and pasted picture and printed off a home printer. Since Hurricane Ike we have had problems with this company after they bought this company from rapid cable. They keep saying they are waiting for recievers. When they were supposed to be ready for the change to HD they shut everything off. Every week we never new what channels we were going to have. We have been paying our bill and still no one has come to help us out. We can not get a satellite dish we have to many trees. Every week I call them and speak to someone new and the reply is always the same, " We are waiting for the reciever to come in next week" but next week they have not done anything. The problem here is not Direct TV. It is FUN DISH. They claimed they were an agent for Direct TV, sold me a package exactly like the current Dish TV promotion and charged me $49.99 for equipment and installation. When the installation didn't take place as planned, I called Direct TV only to find that they had no such transaction in their records.
