It's because betterworldbooks takes the used books fron the friends of the libraries bookstores (for free) and makes a killing of of them. They also take books that people donate to the friends of library and have the ones they can't sell destroyed. Ok, so I really like to watch this show So You Think You Can Dance, since I am a dancer and I really like to watch it. I always get excited on Wednesdays and Thursdays because those are the days that the show airs. I scheduled my DirecTV DVR to record Wednesday's show and when I get in front of the TV to watch my favorite show, it doesn't record. At the top it says it is recording but it wasn't!!! I went back to being a Mediacom customer in January. I have had nothing but problems from the start. I rejoined Mediacom with a buy-back special. They promised to pay the bill for breaking my dish company contract. To get the refun took three months and numerous phone calls and trips to the local office. I discovered today that my credit card was charged for a membership that I was unaware of. I was charged $19.95 in which I am told I cannot be refunded because I went past my 3 day trial time that I have to cancel the subscription. I too have made a purchase at Motherhood and months later was charged $20 for a magazine. I didn't authorize this and was not asked or told anything about it during my purchase. This came as a complete surprise to me. Finding this complaint board is the only way I knew why this had happened. How is this legal? My TV went out where there was only sound and no picture on a weekend when I counldn't contact anyone. I called them 1st thing Monday morning and told them what had happened and they told me that I would have to pay the shipping to send it to them but then they would in turn replace the TV within 15 days of receiving it. The Sonic restaurant on Prince Street in Conway, AR is the worst Sonic known to man. It has the rudest carhops of any Sonic I have ever been to. I went there last week and waited 35 minutes for a coffee drink and finally left after a carhop told me that she would "get to me eventually...she was busy."
