I purchased this TV from Best Buy in September of 2007. It worked get for the first six months. Six months later, I have been having some horrible problems with it. I renewed my NewsWeek Magazine through Dial America. Although I had 3 months left on my original subscription they begin sending me the new request immediately. I was getting 2 NewsWeek Magazines each week. Called Newsweek or Dial America, cannot remember which. Wendy's has been advertising their "new" spicy Asian chicken. The commercials and print ads show big chunks of chicken, glistening with a nice coating of some special sauce overflowing a black plastic tray. What you get is nothing even close to this. I am sick and tired of the constant increases in our tel/cable/internet bill from Shaw. We just had another increase in May 2009, and the current bill I received in July indicates another increase of $5 with the usual notation "Shaw is committed to improve our quality and service". A salesman came to my elderly mother's house, got her to order magazines for $48.00, then must have convinced her to leave the room for a minute and stole a blank check from the back of her checkbook. The HP 42" plasma TV went black but you could still hear sound. I called HP Technical folks and was informed that they found bad y sustain boards and depending on the serial number it would be replaced. When I gave them my serial number they said it was not on the list. Then they informed me for $629.00 they would take 3 attempts to fix the TV and if they couldn't, they would return $300.00. The Technical person assured me it was the y sustain board. LiveNation makes it very unclear how to speak to a representative other than a robot. You can not find a phone number anywhere on the site, and when you do find the number (800-431-3462), you will stay on the line listening to the same country songs for up to twenty minutes than the line cuts out. They make it so that if you do not have a credit card you are forced to pay ten extra dollars the day of the show, with no security on whether you are really going to get a ticket. This all began the day 04/21/09 when I unfortunately went to Video Action, the name of the store that rents movies.
