Like many others, I purchased a product not knowing they wrote an 'automatic renewal' in the small print of the terms of use. I was redirected to this website looking for an Office suite. Although I should know better, I let PayPal send them 49.95 for a program that I realize is free, and then realized there was no further link for download, shipping, etc. No confirmation from the company. I am very unhappy with Pay Pal because they must have countless complaint and should not let Pay Pal customers send money to an obvious (now I see it) fraud company. Is PayPal getting a kickback? I ordered a boxed set of the TV show THIRD WATCH, they claimed to sell the entire 6 seasons in one set for 58.44. That's what they took from my bank account. When I received the DVD's they came from CHINA and were copied DVD's from NBC and A&E channels. Most of the discs are damaged and skip. We can only watch a few of the episodes. I sent them an email and even called a phone number that showed up on my bank account but it is a voice mail. Be aware of buying. I learned my lesson. What a horrible experience. It took them over an hour to take our order(we were the only customers there.) The food was not edible and cost $58 for 4 people.(2 of them children.) upromise.com has been pushing its relationship with restaurant.com. After making a purchase of gift certificates (upromise.com promotes this heavily) I found that no gift certificates were ever provided. No web page popped up with gift certificates and no gift certificates are listed under my recent purchases. I googled "restaurant.com complaints" only to find that this has been a common issue. Worse, I have been trying to contact restaurant.com since last week. Their two phone numbers are constantly busy and they have not returned email inquiries. Heartland, Inc. is a telemarketing firm that sells magazines subscriptions. They call me at home and on my cell phone. I also am on the Federal and State Do Not Call List. I purchased four magazines Oprah, Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal and More. There must be more than one of these types of companies because currently I have two orders from one company and two orders from Heartland. I booked 1st Rate Digital Services to move an internet & BT line, fit a large TV bracket to the wall and attach the TV hide wires, and tune home cinema. The Drexelbrook community management has a contract with RCN as the sole provider of cable services to the community residents (1223 individual apartments). Subway Sandwiches overcharges for their value meals. The nationally advertised price for a value meal is $5.00. When I purchased two value meals I was charged $11.18, or $5.59 per meal. They tried to explain the reason for the different charge but it made no sense at all. I contacted Subway by email and the store owner called to try and explain the reason.
