I ordered exercise DVDs from this company because of TV advertising. The order was put through on my Amex in Dec for $149 then partially credited in Feb $137.65 and 2 aditional charges on the same bill for $31.45 and $40.89 I never received the DVDs - they said delivery for Canada would be up to 8 weeks - so by the time I complained to American Express I was too late to file a complaint. I have twice received and been billed for Bottom Line Yearbooks from this company with no way to conveniently deny or return these books. They bill you and send no way to even get in touch with them. I bought a blue and white diamond ring from Gems TV and they say that they have a 30 day money back guarantee if you leave the tag on it. They also tell you to wear it and see if you like it. Well I wore it for a few days and sent it back before the 30 days with the tag still on it and I find a return and it is them sending it back to me because the tag is worn. On 5/31/08 I purchased a game from SpinTop Games called Mystery P.I.-The Vegas Heist for their price of $19.99. They sent me an email receipt with this amount stipulated as the total I was to be charged. I was charged $20.59, an overcharge of 60 cents. Teen came to my home to solicit magazines. Cost me 46.00 for 2 year subscription plus 12.00 processing fee. This was on Oct. 15, 2007. As of this date, I have not received magazine. Called office # listed on receipt and number is disconnected. No listing for Titan Sales in Oklahoma. I always try to help kids by buying magazines every couple of years. I signed up for the triple play. Converted my internet and phone service. It was a couple hundred dollars to do this. I agreed to the terms for one year. I have one cablebox, for premium channels, the remainder of the tv's are directly hooked up to cable and receive basic service. They do not have a phone number to call, the only number I found was for a fax or modem, and they didn't respond to the fax I sent either. It costs more to have the credit charges stopped. My complaint is that I had to Wait more than 30 seconds on hold. Although this is much better than most other companies I have shopped with I believe that companies should hire enough people to answer the phones right away. I just tried to buy from Video Direct Ft Lauderdale Florida. I have never seen such a lack of customer service in my life. I placed my order and sent my money (not done via credit card). I couldn't get a receipt. I couldn't get a written acknowledgment of my order. I asked for a copy of the order to be emailed and they weren't capable of that. I received a RCA RD1076A MP3 Player.The warranty should be with you some where. Anyway it is one that steps on your wrist. We have downloaded the disk, e-mailed RCA/THOMPSON, tried to make phone calls and have heard nothing back. I searched Amazon for some DVDs, and found them on an Amazon sponsored site called WWW.TVDVD.net. I ordered the DVDs and finally received them from CHINA. They were poor copies and for all practical purposes unuseable. I sent back their customer service form and was told they would be glad to replace the discs, but gave no instructions. I wrote again and received the SAME response, still with no instructions. I repeated the process with the same result. I've now taken the hint, and expect no relief from TVDVD. I was told by the sales associate that if I had any problems, I bring it in the store and they give me a BRAND NEW one. On 12/15/2007 subscriptions for 3 different magazines were made, MagHeaven immediately charging my credit card at that time. Each recipient was mailed a gift subscription card announcing they would be receiving a years subscription to a magazine. Caveat Emptor if you evaluate this 'freeware'. I downloaded the 30-day trial software and locked a few files. After the trial period, I went to delete the program and I was unable to unlock my files. The only solution was to purchase the full version of the program.
