I am so sick and tired of TWC and their consistent POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only reason that we keep the service is because they are the only company that can offer high speed internet service for my husband's work at home business. There is a board right above the LCD panel on my 46" TV amongst other numerous boards, which Samsung does not provide to its authorized repair shops. So when this board goes bad, they are telling you to buy a whole new LCD panel, which is so expensive that you are better off to buy a new TV all together. My experience with Rogers costumer’s Service is also very bad. I have a condo in Etobicoke (at The East Mall) and we have TV cable included in the maintenance fee. At some point Board of Directors decided to quit with Show Cable TV and continue with Rogers TV. I do recall an invitation to join approx 2 yrs ago, and I did recieve a magazine, a short time afterwards I recieved a small key chain and some stickers with my name on them. I have moved and changed addresses approx 18 months ago. Yesterday March 4th I rec'd notice from Collection Agency, that I joined in Dec 2006, and now owe them $461.00. My NEW Government Credit Card has been charged $237.37 dated 12/21/2007. In addition, they charged my OLD Government Credit Card twice for $238.28 and $240.59 earlier in 2007. I have never ordered from this company and never know what they will do next to which credit card. Where are they getting the card numbers and verification code from in order to accomplish this activity. A book was ordered; sales person convinced me that I should order an additional book, which I did (my stupid mistake) -- weeks & weeks passed before delivery, although my charge account was charged immediately. On Nov 3rd I subscribed to a magazine called Sport Fishing. A young man came to the door selling to earn points to be able to win a trip. Very convincing, but I see now I was taken because no magazine has come and you can not get a live person on the phone nor will they return a call when you leave your number. Every time myself or my husband go to Williams Chicken they are very very rude, and sometimes the chicken is old. But today 3/2/08, I called at 10:00pm to find out what time they closed, and a female answered, and said they close at 11:00pm but that they arec closed because of the weather, she said, "we are closed because everybody has to ge home," and hung-up on me, everytime they are rude there, and I do not appreciate their rudeness. What can consumers do about receiving defective items from ordering DVD's on line from Donkey DVD and TV Addicts, had their credit card debited and lack of response time received from companies when you email them on these issues? What are the rules for protecting consumers with ordering items online? how can money be credited back for items purchased and not usable due to defectiveness. I have phoned I have written this company... it is insulated against any and all attempts to have meaningful contacts to resolve any issues. If you have Time Warner Cable or Cablevision or DirectTV or Dish Network... KEEP IT you are better off...
