I saw the advertisement for a credit card to rebuild my credit in Ocotber 2007. After completing the application, I was not told of any account processing fee of $99.00; Program Participation Fee of $89.00; Annual Fee of $49.00; and Account maintenance fee of $10.00 before getting the card. I just received a bill in the mail from Continental Finance Company, LLC, which states that I owe $247.00 before I even got the card. I still have not received the card but yet I owe this. I recently received notice from my bank that my credit may have been in danger. They suggest I get my 3 free credit reports. I did this. Apparently there is an area where they sign you up for a free credit report service for 30 days. You must cancel before the 30 days are up. I received a charge of 11.95 on 9/26/07 and 10/26/07. I resolved my overcharge issue with business owner but am afraid he's doing it to other consumers. I went to this business to get my boat winterized. The business owner advertised a cheaper price ($250) than Olympic Boat center ($350). The Lakeside boat service owner however talked me into some drive service as well. This company took over directory advertizing from Verizon Directories whice was part of Verizon Phone company, the local phone company in my area.I was an insurance agent and advertized in the phone book for 20+ years. On two occassions we sent personnel to UPS Stores in Florida to send packages to New York. We insisted that these packages be sent the cheapest way possible, which would be UPS Ground. We were told that forms needed to be filled out, and they did not have UPS Ground forms and gave UPS 2nd day air forms. The persons sending the packages are not obviously knowledgeable to shipping charges. I purchased a Canadian Tire Oil Change Card in Dawson Creek BC. My receipt says that the gift card expires on November 23, 2008 but on the card that was sold to me it says it expires on May 25, 2007. I have taken a Home Loan from HDFC Home Loan service in India last year. The interest rate charge type was floating, wherein if the rate of interest increases/decreases anytime in future, the same would apply to me.
