As stated above we were returning from a wedding in Vegas and my husband and I each had 1 checked suitcase locked with a TSA lock and not carry-on's with the exception of my purse. When we arrived home the lock was still on but the closure of the luggage was cut and suitcase was opened, a box of my matching jewelry that I wore to the wedding was gone...when I called the airline they said they were not responsible for lost items and were not responsible and would not compensate us for the broken into luggage..We will never fly that airline... read full review »

I called Expedia (to avoid the web site) and spoke to a human representative. The human spelled my name wrong on the ticket (their error) so the ticket was not usable (you cannot board a plane if the name on the boarding pass does not match the name on your ID). I notified them immediately (but spent 6 hours on hold. I talked to India and Manila and other non-fluent English speakers who acknowledged the error but refused to correct it. A friend and I recently purchased a vacation through Latin Destinations or Solar Tours (as it is called in S. America) to Peru. The website advertises that they have been customizing vacations since 1984, which may lead some consumers (including myself) to believe that they could be trusted and knew what they were doing. I was mistaken and this was evident before, during, and after my trip. I went to hotel Melia / Sol Melia in Dominican Republic. The service was poor. But when I finally left a few days later I received unauthorized charges on my credit card. We went on our 2 hour tour and when we told them that the purchase was feasible just nopt at this time...that i needed to think...i was rudely ushered out the door with my wife and mistreated verbally on the way down...so after we received our "FREE" trips(that we will still have to pay to go on)...i call the next day...complained and was reimbursed for my gas and meals on the way...DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR!!! Dear internet, Please be advised to avoid Bucoleon Palace Hotel, in Istanbul, Turkey, at all costs. There are many other hotels in Istanbul that you can check out. I stayed here over the summer and had scheduled to stay for 2 nights, but upon the 1st morning I got sick shortly after breakfast. I ahve been a Palace Premier (VIP) member for two years now. Every single time I try to book hotels i have another hasle and misinformation. When I try to discuss these problems with the reservation folks in florida, all I get is attitude and no help at all. If it is not on the script in front of them it doesn't exist. Go to the member services? Ha...they switch me to reservations. The benefits of the VIP membership are rediculous and you learn something your not getting everytime you try to book. AARP?Expedia offer hotels at lower cost. This is far from the experience we had on a trip out west. We booked a room in Vernal, UT (the Landmark Inn - an excellent hotel/motel) several weeks before our trip. Our credit card was charged 131.98 including tax for one night. When we arrived at the hotel their sign advertised rooms at $65 single. The account that we were handed by the hotel was for $92.96 including tax for the room. This company have ripped off timeshare owners for vacation property for years including me with deceptive selling practices, selling false and fake deeds and titles to property we will never own or can get a loan or refinance offer from like they told me. Just wanted to back up previous complaints on Marriot reservation(s) for timeshares at Newport Coast. It is ridiculous to try to book a week in the summer. After paying a large amount for the time share, each year you have to pay maintenence and taxes which is about 1400. Then if you try to book a week June through September you have to wake up at 5 Am in my time zone one year ahead to try to get a week. Good luck with that because the odds of that are slim and none. Do not book your next hotel using www.centralr.com. They have hidden cancellation charges. We booked hotel Terramar in Sitges, Spain almost 6 weeks in advance and canceled it (based on bad reviews) two days after the booking. CentralR.com charged our credit card for one night stay immediately (less than 5 minutes) after we canceled. We contacted one of their representatives (Emma Treston) asking to remove the charge but without any success. We currently are disputing this charge with our credit card company. read full review »

I had a very very bad experience with Nexus Holiday Chicago. I had canceled 4 tickets to Beijing of China booked with them due to AA delayed the flight schedule on May 2010. But the said amount of refund for the cancellation was never credited to my account. No matter of repeated mails and calls to customer care, but the company has failed to give me a satisfactory reply. This company is really a crap.Do NOT ever ever give money to this company, they are fraud, they don’t provide services that you expected or paid for... Hotel caters to loud boisterous, drunken nightcluber. Fire alarm woke us up twice and we had to run down 4 flights of dangerous crowded stairs to find that the drunks set off the alarm. Yet my daughte on the 9th floor never heard the alarms. If it had been a fire, noone on the upper level would have been saved! The reception seemed unconcerned. We went to Disney Work in Orlando and stayed at the Omni Hotel Championship Gate Resort. We checked in Wednesday, then out Sunday 08/08/2010... Within those days, our room was only cleaned and beds made ONE day only.. Thursday ONLY... We told the person at the checked in counter and all they said was we will notify the house keeping Manager... BUT still nothing was done.. When we checked out, again we mentioned it.
