We actually got scammed in the Bahamas. This company is not legitamate in any regards. There are thousands of complaints on this company on the internet. I cannot believe they can't be stopped. We used Allorenta (aka. Paris Sweet Home) to get an apartment a 2 week stay. To make a long story short, the first appartment we booked was not available after we booked it, so we had to book another right before we arrived. In the confusion, we wound up having to pay the appartment owner as well as Allorenta the same agancy fee (about 250 Euros) with a promise that we would get that back upon leaving. Be aware that MANY Las Vegas hotels may be offering low rates due to the economic crisis, BUT they have hidden DAILY 'RESORT FEES' which totally defeats the purpose of having low rates at their hotels! Alaska Airlines is price gauging their Alaska markets. Fares on flights in and out of Alaska continue to rise in-proportionately to fares in the lower 48. One might say that because they basically have a captive market in Alaska with very little competition, these higher fares might be based on supply and demand. Do not buy timeshare weeks with a company called Playa del sol grand in puerto vallarta Mexico. They promised we could exchange at another place that we liked called Lindo Mar and it's not possible. In plain language, I did not receive what I was promised. The deal was changed after I paid my money. Tripcentral specifies the packages as based on the number of DAYS. I try to avoid Alaska, sometimes at considerable cost, just to avoid the unsupervised and rude gate agents in Helena, MT. Tonight I had the opportunity to just observe a Horizon gate agent while I waited for my Delta flight. It was amazing. One passenger after another, treated rudely and rushed. My Husban had stayed not long ago at the Biltmore Hotel in NC (now i know that they are not the SAME), since it was such a lovely stayed there he decided to get a 2 night package to surprise me, on or wedding night. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! My mother purchased 3 tickets 3 months before Christmas. Her card was charged, but when they arrived at the airport, their tickets DID NOT EXIST. Went fishing on Monday Dec 28th. Taking my two sons and three grandkids for an outting. The morning trip unloaded with 5 sheephead Even though there was nothing biting Mike still took us out. Company provided packet with a 30 day free trial, I mailed the packet back to Cheap Trips, Inc., certified mail, and waited patiently for my refund which never happened. I called numerous times and always received the same answer, we will have the Supervisor call you, never happened, then they would tell you that someone will be calling to set up a time to talk with the Supervisor, never happened.
