Ok how does this sound for a vacation: My wife and I sailed last August on the Norwegian Sky for 4 days in the Bahamas for our honeymoon! The trip was wonderful. Despite the fact we left two hours early due to hurricane activity and a good portion of the people sailing with us never made it, WE had a great time. Recently my friend and I stayed at the Days Inn in Danville, PA. The room was dirty. There were cobwebs on the walls, curtins and behind the curtins. There were 3 spiders we were aware of...one on the ceiling above the beds, one on top of the curtin and one on the table. Also the sheets had yellow circular stains on them and the light in the bathroom was falling down and broken. I have stayed in older hotels and motels...old doesn't bother me...but clean does. I understand that East Coast people have a rep for the attitude. However, this hotel takes it over the edge. My first visit to Manhattan two weeks ago was crazy when I arrived at my hotel. The mgmt is a bunch of idiots who care nothing about the guest. I three times asked for extra towels and they never brought them. The shower doesnt have a divider or a tub, its open with an old curtain. So when you shower... your entire bathroom is filled with water everywhere. Gave up dealing with this non-responsive company/owner. Complaints to BBB, and Florida Department of Consumer Services. Took case to Volusia County Small Claims Court and received a judgment in our favor in May. Fortunately I have excellent records to support every issue we had. We purchased a timeshare and the extra golf package, and have always been told "all resorts are full" and have never been able to use even one day. But, if you look at their resort sites or Travelocity, rooms are plentiful! They would rather rent them out to the public and tell you no weeks are available. Puerto Vallarta. We had won a trip to Disneyland and Las Vegas we had to pay $330 what I assume to be taxes for it. They gave us a certificate and told us to call the number on it to make the reservation when we were ready to go. I booked a hotel, the new Otani Kaimana Beach, through this company in April, about a month before my trip. My credit card was charged and I received a confirmation email immediately after. My wife and I had booked a cruise directly with the cruiseline. Upon having a conversation with Roxanne Neukam @ Cruise Conneected, she stated she would rebate us $300 for giving her the booking. Do not make any reservations at this hotel for any reason. This hotel was booked for only one night, which was supposed to be for a family get-together. Due to a heavy snowstorm in SD on the day we were to travel to hotel, we were unable to fulfill our reservations. Hotel required 24 hours notice to cancel reservation.
