It was a bitter experience staying in this Hotel. I am repenting staying there. Room was not up to standard. It was a super deluxe but was not up to standard. I wish I had checked out Holiday Inn - Cancun Arenas more throughly. The hotel had terrible food -staff was rude-showers would not drain- hardly any Americans staying there-felted like we were in danger.Small Cramped beaches. Not located by anything-really the ghetto part(of hotels). Don't rent a car-you're a target for the local police. We were returning from an evening out and was stopped by police. The first complaint was about the hotel. I was unsatisfied with having no privacy on the balcony and also there were waterbugs on the balcony. I travel to Myrtle Beach every year and this was the worst experience I ever had. It was not a hotel I stayed at it was a motel and it was not worth the money. I recently had lunch at the Willard Hotel (June, 2009). It is all hype. The food was fine but the table was full of dust, I looked up at the light fixtures and I couldn't believe a fine hotel of this nature could be so filthy. If the public space and resturant areas are this dirty, I wonder about the kitchen. I used to be a frequent visitor to the Willard when my Father was with the UN. We recently went back home for a one week visit. we arrived Saturday, June 20th and checked out on Thurs June 25 we stayed a total of 5 nights. My travel rewards agent made the reservations for a 2-night stay at this hotel. since I am being rewarded for the stay, I was told by my travel reward agent that I will not pay for the stay with the understanding that I will pay for any incidentals. I was booked for August 27 and 29, 2009. This hotel charged $172.78 to my visa without my knowledge and authorization. i was unable to get home for a family emergency, us airways told me i had to pay an additional $180.00 to get home to my daughter who was in need of a hospital immedietley. So the airline would rather send a plane off the ground with empty seats than put a customer who already paid to go home 2 days later on it to get to her daughter who needed her . Am I the only person who is affected by the problem of strong perfume triggering migraine headaches? Virgin-Atlantic seems to think so. Vacation network has no inventory. We have been dealing with them now for several years and they have no inventory. All you get is the run around from their office. John, the head of the sales group promised 5 star vacations anywhere in the world with lots of inventory. We haven't heard a single thing from VIP Travel & the one measly phone call from Certs Inc tells us that the dates we had chosen were wrong. So now Certs says we would need to attend another stinking 2hour rip off timeshare presentation & then wait til two weeks before our departure before we would receive any sort of confirmation of our trip at all.
