We were scammed out of $2700, through a company called Royal Palm Vacations, Capital Financial, and Certs, Inc. We never got what we payed for and these companies are all under investigation, by The Attorney Generals' Offices of Massachusetts, Nevada, and Florida. I purchased a so-called warranty at The Future Shop. I've since found out that a this warranty consists of a thirty dollar piece of paper with the work warranty appearing on it. A true warranty does not exist. The picture taking button fell off my digital camera and I brought it in to be repaired. They told me it wasn't covered since it must have been dropped. Attached is a letter sent to HotWire letting them know how they let me to believe I was going to a three star hotel. In the end the two nights I spent there were so bad for the simple reason that we were three adults & one child we can barely fit in the room. was worst than staying in a motel on a busy highway! As all the others, I made a booking for a hotel in the US (Boston) beginning of June. But due to business reasons I had to cancle it (1 month in advance to the travel). And they confirmed the refunding within 7 days by email. No refund until now (August). I tried to call them more than 30 times, they hang up the phone. The cottage rental is a scam! Warning! My husband and I rented the cottage for a two night stay in late July. The cottage web site misrepresented the fact that there is air-conditioning (the owner placed a filthy unsafe faulty wired air conditioner in the home on the day of arrival). In February I booked a trip to the Bahamas through Gloria Holmgren.
