Beware when using multiple Ebay Gift Cards to make an online purchase. I have noticed that when trying to "use up" gift cards with small balances that the Ebay system will charge the full amount of the transaction to the final card used if it contains sufficient funds to cover the transaction. I booked tickets for movie Underworld from Bookmyshow.com. I was given a receipt which had no information and asked me to print and carry to cinemahall. Ofcourse I was charged the full amount before I got the dumb screen to print. I carried my statement of bank account used to book my ticket and the pathetic printout with no info on it and asked movie counter to confirm if the booking is done. Placed an order to Tower.com using a bank money order. Order was placed on January 27, 2009; however, I never received an update on the order. They do not answer emails and when you call customer service via the 800 number you have to wait at least 30 minutes to talk with someone. Today I received my credit card statement per January - February 2009. There was a charge $12.00 which I did not recognize. My call to the company was not successful. Fact is, I never did business with Shoppers Discounts CT and neither did I authorize the use of my credit card. I have no idea how they got my credit card number.
