Before ever walking in to Workout world in La Mirada I looked on this website. there were mixed messages about workout world but it seemed interesting that this new gym was making its mark on La Mirada. I decided to take a look for myself. After taking a tour i was really excited about working out and I wanted to be a member right away. Do not ever sign up a gym contract with this company. i have tried to end this contract because I live in another state and there is no other gym near my permanent home. I travel and work out of state. I have sent multiple items of identification and my home address and they still want more proof. It is taking an act of congress to get out of the membership. I hired U.S. Moving to move our household goods on two occasions. The first time it went off without a hitch. Customer service is atrocious. The phone line was never answered on two separate occasions, and notification that my part was going to be a month and a half late was non-existent. I had to email to find out it was delayed, and another time to find out it was delayed again. After the initial order confirmation email I was never notified about the status of shipment, or given a chance to check the status other than the phone number which was never answered. Back last year in July 2008 I had gone into U.S. Cellular and paid my monthly bill of $82. My mistake was that for the first time I paid it in cash because I had not run by the bank to deposit the cash into my account. Two months go buy and I get my bill stating that I owe over double what I normally have to pay. This company wasted my time and money and screwed me out of getting a refi. At first, they offered the best rate and closing costs of anyone. They make you pay, out of pocket, for their Appraiser when you apply. Then, 90 days later, they sent a letter denying the loan because of a incomplete appraisal. This company is definetly a scam. We paid them over $1200.00 for them to rebuild our engine in March 2009, in October 2009 the "rebuilt" engine went out. We tried contacting them since we have a 5 year warranty. And the phone number was disconnected. Through research we found they changed their name from Best Engine Exchange in Mesa to Engines RX in Phoenix. I contacted this firm for a loan modification. I was told it would cost $3500 up front but if they couldn't help us, we would receive a refund of all but $500 (for administrative fees).
