They refused to credit the charges back so I told my credit card company to refuse the these charges or any more that came from this company. The SOB's turned me over to a collection agency. With the help of a lawyer we finally got the collection agency to drop the account but this company keeps sending me bills. I returned the product with a return recipt requested and they signed it. I received my Voyager Telescope as a price from my company. When I went to assemble it, I noticed the machining was haphazard and some of the existing screwes were cross threaded. When I finished assembling the scope, I found the rack and pinion was defective, so the telescope would not focus. Americatel unilaterally change my international long distance rates without notice or warning from 6 cent a minutes to 72 cents per minute. When I called their automated system acknowledge a billing error, but after a couple of months when I called again they say that service was cancelled. This company will take your money and not follow through with providing the loan modification services that you paid for. I signed up with them in May 2008, after numerous numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact them regarding the status of my situation, in October 2008 I requested my money back.
