I went in for a haircut, and not only did they do exactly what I didn't want, but they charged extra for a service I didn't ask for. I had no idea I would be charged an extra $20.00 for the stylist to use a "flat iron" on my hair after blowdrying. The thing that really irritates me, is that she didn't even have a flat iron... she used a standard curling iron to straighten out a few pieces.. not my whole head! I'm from Trinidad (3rd world country) and I bought a Hoover hard floor machine at VCDiscounter, online, last November 2007, for $119.00 which turned out to be defective after I used it twice. I, Gary Koekoek, accidentally overpaid my membership, and after I talked to a supervisor, it was agreed that he would give me a refund in the form of a $100 gas card. To get hold of a supervisor is next to impossible. This settlement was made on August 11, 2008. The supervisor told me that it will take 7 - 10 days to receive said card. It is now almost October. Every time I call this company, the person answering the phone tells me that the card is on its way. I have not received the card yet. Never liked Volvo after having an S40. Leased it, the service was weak and after the lease expired and I returned the car, the dealership failed to inspect the car when I dropped it off. Waste Management bills consumers in my city in quarterly installments. If you, the consumer, do not receive your bill for any reason, do not pay it within the first 4 weeks of receiving the invoice(it is mailed @3 weeks prior to the start of the new quarter), or do not pay the full amount, whether by intent or accident, the company WILL still pick up your refuse BUT will put your account on "suspension" and charge you, the consumer a $35 re-instatement fee. Be very careful when ordering anything through this online store. They advertise womens clothes that they do not actually have though they say that the item is in stock, then try to substitute items to satisfy an order. They charge your credit card before processing the order. They are slow to credit you if you do not accept the substitute. Their customer service department falsely tells you that discounts will apply to the order but that they will have to apply them manually after you accept the full price on the transaction- then charge your card full price. Purchased Pro-Fi Elite. Package says "Everything iPod". Unfortunately it does not charge my iPod Touch, my iPhone, or my Nano. So listening to music the battery goes dead. I spent well over 30 minutes waiting for customer service when I finally was connected to tech support. After 40 minutes more he agreed to send me another unit. That replacement never arrived. I went to Mr. Tire for a new tire. The technician badly scraped the rim all around. At first, management refused to accept responsibility--two immature and obnoxious guys. Then the manager agreed to have someone call me to repair the rim. No one called, so I wrote a letter to the corporate office (Monro Muffler). I took my car to Midas in Englewood, Ohio for a routine replacement of brake pads. I drive a Honda Civic with 56, 000 miles on it. I go to pick up the car the next day and the car will barely move.
