Credit One Bank's unfair billing practices as described by many patrons throughout this website and other complaint boards. I requested information from a company called Grant Master and was given "trial" memberships with several other companies that I did not want. I was charged a shipping and handling fee for a CD about grants. I do not want to be charged any other fees for things I did not request. In October, 2007, I called a cancellation number at 1--833-7279 and spoke with Ginger who assured me my order for cooking pans and this recipe service was cancelled and my credit card would not be charged for any amount. Today, 01/03/08, I received 3 recipe booklets noting my credit card was used to pay for these booklets; however, no amount was shown. I ordered flowers for my aunt for Thanksgiving. They were never delivered and yet my charge card was charged the full amount. I have called them at least 10 times, and everytime they say they will credit my account or call me back. I met Shana Anderson over the summer of 2007, she presented herself as a financial realestae business person. she was looking for a home for me and decussed doing other business with me and this company named Lovic LLC. However she received my personal information, and we talked several times about this company (third Party) they went ahead and got credit cards in my name ran them up 35,000.00 worth with out My consent. I made an over the phone payment for my Polaris account. I have had the same banking account for several years. I have my account number memorized and I use it often. GE told me that me payment was denied because I gave them the wrong account number. I had no reason to give them the wrong account number. I have been harrassed to pay a bill by GE Money Bank for a bill generated @ Lord and Taylors Department store. I don't currently or never had a credit card account with Lord and Taylors. More alarming is the fact of how my social security # and an old address got attached to this debt. Purchased a Tru Tech T-600 DVD/CD Player at Target in March 2007. Used it at the shore in July and then once or twice since then. Went to use it this past weekend and remote control WOULD NOT open the disc drive. The disc drive also would not open from the front of the machine. THIS DVD/CD PLAYER IS A PIECE OF JUNK. Target was NO HELP--over 90 days since I bought it. The company, Starlite Consumer, DID NOT return my telephone calls of yesterday. Of course, you don't get any one directly. I saw the infomercial regarding a colon cleansing product called Almighty Cleanse. They use God as a selling point. One question asked was if the product caused you to have extreme bowel movements. The answer was no. I called to order the product and, of course, the person tried to sell me everything and the kitchen sink! First, the company said my card info wasn't correct and asked me to keep putting it in and when I did I had three pending charges on my card none of which gave me membership. Called them to explain how my job lowered my hours. So I am not making the money I used to get. So I asked for help. They turned me down flat. Novastar called 10 times a day and even had a person show up at our door. Saxon said we don't do deferments and told me to get a second job. I still have kids living with me a FAMILY. I can't help the situation at all. What I can't believe is how mortgage companies don't have a heart and be more understanding. Ordered Dec. 2, Got a confirmation of order and said order sent on Dec. 10 with UPS tracking number. Checked tracking number with UPS and nothing has been shipped yet. I just wanted to write a letter in response to all the complaints I've been reading re: rainsoft here in Louisiana. First of all these complaints are over a year old. This company was recently bought (in Sept. of '07 from what they said) and is now locally owned and operated. This company is also no longer associated with Discovery Marketing. They have done everything in their power to address the complaints and satisfy their current and new customers. I went it to American Laser for a free consult from a bridal show. The manager strong armed me into signing despite the fact that I had an acne condition and I was seeing the dermatologist the following week. She gave me $1500 off and said if the doctor said I couldn't have the treatments, she would refund me. They signed me up for Care Credit so they were paid in full. Similar to MANY others on this site, Last Spring/Summer I applied for a credit card to cover major dental costs. At the time of my application I arranged for them to deduct the monthly payment of approxiamtely $150 from my checking account. When the first bill arrived it indicated that it was deducted. When the next bill arrived it showed a past due balance. When I called they advised me that the amount had not been deducted due to some error in entering the numbers. My daughter and I ate at Aberdeen Applebees on December 17, 2007. The meal was good and the service was good. I gave an 18 percent tips. When I got my credit card receipt of my dinner it showed $10.00 more than what I spent, this makes me believe that the waitress gave herself more tips than I put on the check.
