I live in the Caribbean and purchased a La Cornue oven from France in 1995. It was built for propane gas, no electric ignition because I wanted to keep things simple knowing there was no one to service the oven here. I have had continual problems with the pilot lights(there are 2). They keep going out when I am not using the oven and when I turn the oven on, it might stay lit for a while but then the pilot and gas go out. It took three months and an extend of escrow for this us to close on our house thanks to this company. Their customer service is dreadful. It took literally days for me to get any response to an email I would send to my agent and he would very seldom answer his phone. He treated us as if we were very low on his priority list. It would take forever for him to complete tasks such as schedule the appraiser and contact the title company. I was very, very disapointed in the service. The day before Thanksgiving, I made a $687 deposit. After the bank closed, my deposit had disappeared. Through the entire holiday, our family had no Thanksgiving because my account was overdrawn. Please be careful of a company by name Lindres Electronics. They tend to sell apple iphones and other products online with an exciting offer of 1 free if you buy 3 iphones. Once you pay the amount, the owner of the company says that you have to buy 15 iphones since there was a change in the rules. He convinces you by showing a fake FEDEX receipt and tries to fool you around. I became a victim today and hence wanted to let you all know about it. Please dont fall as a trap to this company. Law firm is attempting to collect a debt that was cleared through a bankrupcy. Documentation was sent to law firm stating this. The law firm went to Middlesex County (NJ) court for a judgement against me. They sent the paperwork to an address I haven't lived at for 15+ years. Also, my credit report shows that there are NO ACCOUNTS PAST DUE!!! This firm doesn't seem to care if anything was paid off. They use illegal practises to collect money they are not entitled to. I used Mantis Mobile Media, Inc. for my computer business. I came across them because they were calling around to new businesses to see if they needed advertising. We did, so we decided to meet up with them. We decided to go with their smaller package, as we did not know the company well, and gave them $500.00. They promised a lot of things and did not deliver. We responded to a newspaper ad about a free sample of "Viaprin". When we found out about all the complaints of poor service and unhelpful responses others have received, we decided to cancel. We did not intend to sign up for monthly shipments, and were concerned when we read of other consumers who were having trouble with unwanted orders, even after cancellation. When we called the Phone#, they were very rude and unhelpful and would not work with us at all. We ultimately called our credit card company to cancel the account number. I have been reading tons of complaints about this company. A common pitfall among complainants is that they are being charged for extra services or recurring memberships that they had no knowledge of and did not request. I had one year contract paid for $250. They said it was entitled to receive one free tune up with it. I set up the appointment and they said they could not make appointment during the service contract period due to busy scheduling, and they booked me one month after the service contract period was over, and they said it was not problem about it.
