I had a phone call by an operator from AFNI, 01/06/2011 and she stated, (with a mouth full of marbles) that myself and only myself
is the target for her message, they were trying to collect a debit from me, when I have none at all. so i called my verzion comp. and asked the nice lady there if i were to call this # if it would be a scam to get a heavy phone bill? well she done the right thing and googled it.
much to my surprise it was a # for AFNI. so I googled it... surprise, I got a scam page from it.. thus sending me here. I do not know what the collection was for but, I don't trust this and do not believe you should either. if your clean that is. out of debt.

If there a possibility of getting a refund from AFNI? A letter came in 1/16/10 for balance due of 398.41 and another letter came in 3/1/2010 about slashing it down to 199.21 to settle the debt. HOWEVER, its already been paid for 398.41, any possibility of getting a refund for the difference? Any advice? would be appreciated.

These people call us non-stop all day long, 10, maybe 12 times a day. They tell my husband he owes for service he had with a cellular carrier, Alltel. They kept telling him he owed for this service, several hundred dollars, but he never had an Alltel account except back when they had the unlimited service and you pay as you go with that, you don't pay, you don't have service, you would never get the chance to have a bill that high, or a bill at all cause you had to pay first if you wanted service. That is the ONLY account him or I ever had through that company. This Afni Company (if they are even a legitimate company) is constantly harassing us by phone, yet we have NEVER received any kind of correspondence by mail from them. they have tried to talk my husband into a "Sell your soul to the devil" offer on several occasions, and have attempted to obtain his banking information this way...you know, "if you pay us x amount right now we will forgive the entire debt" and when that didn't work, they want to throw threats out there of being sued, etc... This has to STOP. Last I knew it was illegal to harass people, any people, anywhere. Please help.

look at that! the Saints they want to be are offering me a "SETTLEMENT OFFER", why, half off!, on a Qwest bill from lessee, a good 5+ years ago.
Now, I was on hard times back then, and might have let a bill slide longer than I should have... but wait, I was serially monogamous with Qwest with at least 2 newer numbers since that and sure as poop settled right wifda ducats, they don't let you have a new one if you've got debt flying, no?!
so, I called the tollfree, and boy were they waiting to get the last 4 of the soc'. smellin' ill, tried to talk to an operator, failed miserably, and eventually hung up waiting.
tried the website, and boy they want those soc' digits fast!

that's my story, they know where I live, a phone number I had 5+ years ago, but they haven't pried the last four digits loose! nice try, thanks for keeping me on my toes.

I recieved a collection letter from Afni, Inc. saying my husband owed AT&T Mobility $673.50 and that Afni would settle for $50.00. My husband is deceased. I contacted AT&T, and my account is current, which I knew it was. I could not get an answer when I called the 800 number on the collection letter. I filed a somplaint with the AG of Missouri.
