Elite Rewards Elimination
I had an account since 1987 with BofA. I was unaware that they phased on the Elite Rewards program. I had 160, 000 points available and now they claim there is nothing they can do. I think they can and I am going to continue to pursue. They supposedly notified all cardholders by mail. I do all correspondence with Bof A electronically as I travel every week. This is BS

CASH DEPOSIT MISSING
SHIRLEY,
ARE YOU INTERESTED IS GOING TO SMALL CLAIMS TO FILE A COMPLAINT?
Recently I made a cash deposit at an ATM at Bank of America. I didn't have a deposit slip with me. I tried to

go inside the bank to a live teller because it was cash. I know that I was on camera with $200.00 cash at that

point. The live teller told me that they switched my account to ebanking (meaning that I had to go to the

ATM to make the deposit because that was the type of account I had to only use the ATM). She assured me

that this is done all the time and they never lose a cash deposit in the ATM. So, I had to use the ATM

machine. I explained that I did not want to deposit cash into the ATM. The live teller directed me to the ATM

machine outside. I was also told that I did not need a envelope for a cash deposit.

I went to the ATM outside and proceeded to make the deposit for $200.00. The machine had two areas for

deposits. One area for cash and one area for checks. I was not sure where to put the cash. I saw a location that

said cash and I put the money there. Therefore, I did not put the cash in the correct place and I did not get a

receipt. I put the cash in to area that said cash but I guess it was the cash output area and not the cash input

area. I tried to get the money back from the incorrect slot. I was able to fish out $40.00 but I could not get

back the $160.00. I immediately went back into the bank. I was very upset and I started crying. I had just got

laid off and I could not afford to lose money. Deep down I knew that I would never see that money again.

I was told to call the Customer Service line and they said they would temporarily deposit the money in my

account until the investigation was completed. I just got a letter from Bank of America and I was told that

the cash was not found.
I asked several times for the bank to check their video cameras. I went to a live teller to make the deposit

initially to put the cash in the account. They could plainly see me with the money.
I never heard back from Customer Service. I received a letter in the mail stating the investigation was over.

They would be charging my account.
So I had the case re-opened. I still haven't heard from Customer Service. And have never received any

information detailing how they did their investigation. And my money has not been re-deposited in my

account.
My theory is they have dis-honest employees.

Enough is enough. I feel like a lot of poor innocent people are being taken advantage of.
I am contacting an attorney tomorrow to see what my rights are.

Recently I made a cash deposit at an ATM. I didn't have a deposit slip with me so I went into the branch to get

Well Bank of America has new ATM machines. I had not used this type of machine before.

Home Modification
My husband has been trying for more almost year to work with Bank of to get our home loan modified. He has had to summited numerous times all of the information that BOA requested. Each time he has summited his information there was missing information. He sent that in then there was something else. They lost the file about three times or more, we call one department the send us to another one, that person knows nothing about anything thfing ect... Now, today they tell us we are not qualified for a loan modification because we fail to except the first modification. WE NEVER GOT ONE... HELP!!

Employment
On 3/2/2011 I applied for a position for a Human Resource Manager for which I am more than qualified. I have 30 years of banking experience and 10 of those years were in Human Resources. In less than 8 hours, I received an email saying that I was not qualified. I am concerned that so many "decisions" are being made by computer programs, that companies are missing out on opportunities to hire the most qualified individuals. Are these programs designed to "screen out" candidates, rather than identified the more qualified candidates. Are these companies seeking to manage their expenses by hiring less experienced candidates? I would like to know how we are supposed to help fuel the growth of the economy, when we can not gain meaningful employment in roles that we are qualified and over qualified for.

Taking to long on home loan modifcation
I have been working with Bank Of America since Oct 2011. for a home modification. I was told iniatally I didn't qualify bc of my mom had a little money and she lives in the home.
Then in December I was told I could still apply. Well, here it is March 2011 and it is still in underwriting. I do not understand this at all. By the time they get through with this, my family could be homeless. I had to give them several copies of the same documents, even though I had given them the documents numerous times. I am still waiting for them to help me.
I thought the banks were in trouble for not helping people when they need it? This royally sucks. Then bc I have managed to make the payments on time their rep said oh something doesn't add up here like I had done something wrong by making the payments on time.
I would not bank again with Bank Of America if my life
depended on it, I would recommend that no one use this company as they do not care about their customers and helping them.

innappropriate charges and faulty online services
I last used my credit card in December 2010, as I always pay in full, I was astounded when I recieved notification that I was in arrears on payment. I was using online banking to transfer cash from a BOA account to make the payment. I would get a message to confirm payment and on clicking it, I presumed it had gone through. Next month another statement came to say I was in arrears . I complained about it to a human and was told I have to sit and wait until I actually get a confirmation no. This was not clear on online payments... eventually I had to click 4 times to actually get the payment through. My internet connection in my area is pathetic at best, but you would think if you pressed to confirm that would have been sufficient.
Just be aware people... I think this is a scam...to get more people to go into arrears to get more interest plus the late fee, which could hurt impeccable credit scores.
Bank of America would do nothing for my late fees, not even modify the mistake.

I would reccomend who chooses to pay by this method, review the account information multiple times and take screne shots.

Short Sale
Bank of America has gotten a bad rap with its short sale process and with good reason. Everywhere I go it seems people are having trouble on both ends of a short sale with BOA. My wife and I are no different. We have had a contract in with Bank of America to purchase a home since June 6, 2010. The home itself has been on the market since 2008 and only one other buyer has attempted to purchase the home prior to us. They got fed up with Bank of America and backed out of their contract after 6 plus months. As a buyer we have excellent credit, a buyer for our current home, and a lender ready to go. With the current economy and the threat of foreclosure this seems like a pretty simple deal. The issue at this point is a disagreement on the price. Back in September we were a week from settlement on an agreed upon price of 420K (based on BOAs appraisal of 500K). Sounds like a great deal. Our lender had a legitimate appraisal done on the house as is required and resulted in a market value of 375K. Obviously, the lender was not going to give us the loan for a house that is worth 45K less than the agreed upon price and 125K less than BOAs appraisal. Apparently, BOA does its appraisals based solely on comparative homes in the area and from across the country. Their Short Sale department is based in California (I am in Maryland) and they have never seen the house we are trying to buy. They have not had someone go to the house for the appraisal. This gives a very in accurate estimate of the true value of the home. The houses compared to the one we were attempting to buy were move in ready and not in distress. The home we are attempting to purchase has not been lived in for some time and is in complete disrepair. Walls are in desperate need of paint, carpet is completely soiled, the hard wood floors a heavily faded, meat was left in the refrigerator with the power off, the well pump is bad, and the list goes on. The house is not livable in its present condition. It is unfair for BOA to be unwilling to negotiate lower on the price when they have not done a legitimate appraisal of the home.

Ruined my credit
I applied for help with my mortgage going almost 3 years ago (march 2008 after losing my job) with the keeping your home affordable program. They sent me a package with lots of material that I had to send them and very little details about what I was applying for and what I would have to do. I was approved for a trial period in November of 2008 and I was sent information about making the payments and for how long. I was never told that by making these payments it would damage my credit report and rating and make me behind in my mortgage for six months. To make matters worse, after 5 months, they denied me and put me in for some other program. I never knew what it was, nor could I get in contact with anyone. After a year of calling and getting no word, they final denied me for the last unknown program when they found out I had a temporary job that only lasted 2.5 months. The person working the account at the time wanted me to repay the debt. I never found out was happened to the money I was sending in or if it was going to be applied to the balance owed. I tried to contact them, with no results. I got passed from person to person and no one could answer any of my questions. I wrote my senator and the president and was sent back some info on government agencies that were supposed to help me. Finally I was able to get someone through and agency that could answer my questions. I found out they had bad information on me and had been reporting me for non-payment even though I paid as agreed under the trial period. They also had bad information on my income and other things even though I had sent this to them several times. The woman I spoke with told me that I had a code put on my account that was preventing me from being put into any other programs that I may qualify for and that in order to qualify for any of the programs I had to pay back the money I owe in excess of over 6, 000.00 which I was only in debt because I was paying the amount they told me to pay for the keeping your home affordable program. I have tried several times to talk to someone because now they are threatening foreclosure on my house. None of my papers told me any of this was going to happen and I never knew I needed to continue to pay my regular payments even though they told me to pay the trial period amount instead. I am tired and burnt out after almost three years of this and I am ready to get a lawyer to settle this for misleading me into a program and damaging my credit score and endangering me of losing my house. Please advise. There is more that I left out because it would be too long for me to write in this message.
