Bad Customer Relations/Service
I requested a replacement debit card on April 2nd, I was told it would take about 1 week to receive. On April 8th (4 business days after the reqeust) someone deposited 2 bad checks using that card at 2 different ATM in city's that are not close to me. They were both Bank of America checks payable to me, and the signature on the back was just my first name. These people then tried to use that card to purchase goods and withdraw a large sum from the ATM. I do not keep alot of money in there so those were denied. Bank of America closed my account due to fraud. The card must have been stolen from my apartment mail box or it's an inside job. I have made a police report for the stolen card. I have never received a call or paperwork from the bank after I made a fraud claim. The biggest problem is that the day they closed the account my paycheck was direct deposited. I have had the same employer for 7 years and been a customer of the banks for 17 years. Since they closed the account they mailed me a cashiers check on Friday April 16th to this day May 3rd I have not received it. When I call the department that closed the account I was told they couldn't do anything until the check has been out for 15 business days! Get real in this day it does not take that long for anything to get to you. They must be using the Pony Express! I have gone to several different bank offices and they say their hands are tied and give me the 800 number to call customer service. If you have any accounts with this bank GET OUT NOW!!!

I will never do banking with Bank of America again
Bank of America reduced my credit lines to $5K from $55K even though I called them to straighten out a mistake made in a balance transfer from another bank and they said they would restore the credit line.
Banks measure credit line by using amount of available vs. outstanding credit. Now we will have a never ending cycle of credit card limit deductions, each justified by the previous one.
I spent an hour with the bank explaining it the first time. They agreed to correct it, and now it is 10x worse than before.
Unless they resolve this satisfactorily, I will never do banking with Bank of America again.

If I can't come to a bank for service where do the community go from here
Thrusday, 11/19/2009 at11:44am I made a withdrawal from my checking account from your branch at 4103 Western Ave. Los Angeles Ca. Requested eight hundred dollars, six hundred dollars in one hundred dollar bills, two hundred in fifties. It's hard to believe, you being a full service bank, ran out fifty dollars bills per teller, Tran 00027. If I can't come to a bank for service where do the community go from here?

tendering a payees check after payors account was closed
Where do these banking policies come from? Bank of America is taking advantage practicing 'back door habit's on a gross level. Recently my husband and I closed our bank account (checking) after waiting for all check's to clear. Two check's had not cleared and were written by us approximately six month's prior to closing our account. We could not locate the payee as he was a helper that came along with a contractor to do some work on our home. We thought maybe the check was lost or misplaced by the helper. The other check had been written to purchase something over the internet and also had not been cashed. So now we would have expected that the payees would probably come directly to us for payment. Low and behold, these check's were both cashed by Bank of America after we closed the account. Those check's were not legally supposed to be honored after all our account number no longer existed as active. Account Closed should have been stamped on each check and returned to the two payees. They not only sent us a statement that appeared to be business on an existing account with a negative account balance of almost a thousand dollar's and overdraft fees as well. After going to the bank and not getting any answer's we decided to not deposit the funds to bring the account to a zero balance. But to go to corporate, still nobody could give us answer's. They have reported my husband and I to Check Systems a company who report's you as an undesirable customer and for 5 year's keep's you on a list that all bank's check as you apply for a checking or saving's account. Thus, we can longer obtain a bank account for five year's. Thanks to you Bank of America you have deprived us the ability to operate our live's financiallyin the normal way. We hope to see your incompetent organization charged with mis-conduct, fined, repay all cheated customers identified by a grand audit and finally, closed. That's what you deserve.

They offer no help
I had a mortgage with poplar Mortgage for two years and everything ran smooth. Unfortunately my loan was sold to BoA four months agao and it has become a nightmare. They have made it difficult for me to make payments. They continue to chaarge me for home owners insurance, even though I faxed them a copy of my policy 2x. I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to get to a real person. When I do reach a real person, all get is polite statements read from an index card. They offer no help. I am completely disgusted with this company. Thank You Obama for bailing them out. You should have let them fail. There is a reason why they were in that position in the first place.

Bank of america is the run around and a different story every time
On Nov. 2, 2009 our home caught fire. our insurance company was very fast in getting our check for the damages done to our house. since we still pay a mortgage we had to send to check to bank of america so they could endorse the check as well. we called for a week straight to find out what needed to be done. we talked to a different person everytime and got a different story everytime. their employees from there floor supervisors to the little people are rude and inconsiderate. they are morons. Bank of america is refusing to release our check that in all legal rights belong to me and my husband. they want us to pay out of pocket for the repairs. i think they owners need to get off their butts and either train their people better or hire some body different. all you get when you deal with bank of america is the run around and a different story everytime.

Mortgage loans
We have been looking to buy a house for over a year. We have already had one seller back out on us, but when our bid was accepted and we went with bank of America for a loan, it was the biggest mistake we have made in this whole search for a home. Our loan process began in February 2010...it has been 70 days since then and our loan still has not closed. They have failed to keep the seller and Realtor up to date with info, along with myself who is the buyer. This is the poorest service i have ever seen in my life. They have been rude and keep leading us along with a final approval for weeks... If you are wanting to buy a house, I recommend you do not use bank of America. I wish someone would have warned me about this horrible bank, but you live and you learn!

The mortgage department is staffed by morons
The mortgage department is staffed by morons. Extreme delays in processing and redundant requests for information they already had causing me to loose my bid on a home and quit my job.

What they have done, is totally unethical
I have had a credit card with Bank of America for several years with no problem. Recently, my interest rate was increased with a credit line of $21, 500, plus large minimum payments. When I received my September statement, I paid it off in the full amount which was posted to my account 2 days before the due date. I just received an October statement charging me periodic finance charge of $42.76. I called customer service, was on hold for at least 10 minutes, then transferred to a customer "manager" who spoke with a strong accent that I was unable to understand and had to ask him to slow down and speak more clearly. He said the finance charges were because I had not paid the account in full the previous month?? I do not understand this, it's probably written in the small print of the massive "terms" that I was too ignorant to understand in the first place. I'm going to send them my $46.76 but I can promise them, I will never use their credit card again and I will tell as many people as I can about my experience with Bank of America. What they have done, is totally unethical. Isn't it nice the bailout money was given to them so they could stay in business and continue to take advantage of their customers. I hope there are enough customers taking their business somewhere else that it will make an impact.

They are a nightmare
We lost our home in a fire the end of June 2009. Homeowners was great. They sent us our loss money fast, however, bank of America has been sitting on all our money since the beginning of Septemeber. There is always a different answer as to why the funds havent been disbursed, etc. They are a nightmare. The thought of having to keep doing business with them makes me sick. We are at the point now where we will go to the attorney general or whoever we have to in order to get our money from them to build our home over again.
