overdraft fee
I am extremely disappointed with the overdraft fees, I honestly was not aware of them. If I would of known about the charges I wouldn’t of used my debit card PERIOD! Also another thing I am disappointed at is that the bank employers didn’t inform me about placing a hold on a deposit I made of $160. I am a very responsible and organized person I keep track of every single transaction I make whether it’s a purchase, transaction at an ATM, deposit, etc. Because of this dissatisfaction I called the 1800 number spoke to a representative then got transferred to a manager on duty and he was even more disrespectful and disconnected the call, while I was being honest in a very polite way. I would appreciate if someone will reply to this email or contact me through phone or address as soon as possible. Thanks for your comprehension.

This company is all about numbers and $$$$ not people or customer service
How can they treat their customers with respect if they do not treat their employees with respect.?? I have worked hard and i do know some in higher level goofs around and waste company's time and money. Lower level employees work hard and never gets appreciated. raise we get is 3 cents if that, a year. I have conducted business in the drive thru and the service really has gone down. i have been in drive thru couple of times and everytime, i am siting there for 11-13 minutes. and this is on ordinary days, not end of the month or 1st of the month. no one looks at you no says hello to you no one uses your names, nor smile. I remember when i was there soon as they drive up it was smile, welcome, hello, and names.
this company is all about numbers and $$$$ not people or customer service. wait time is lobby is also very long and no one acknoledges you and line does not move quickly. i see some of my old cusotmers in the area and they all complain about big Bank of AMerica .

Bank of America screwed me over
Bank of America screwed me over. I was away and overdrew my account several times through automatic payments of a few dollars here and there. each time it happened i was penalized a $35 fee. For about $50 in purchases i was charged $600 in fees.
Never got an email alert or anything. This despite many years of being a good customer and lots of money in other accounts.
Now i know some would say it is my fault for letting my account default but the issue is that they know i am a good customer and might have said something.

Bank of America caused my wife to be kidnapped
About a year ago my wife went to put gas in her car and her ATM card wouldn't read at the pump so she went inside and the clerk told her to go ahead and pump her gas and he would run her card when done. She filled the tank and returned inside to pay, the clerk ran the card and then angerly stated this card is no good, what are you trying to pull. Not sure why her card wasn't working knowing she had plenty of money in the bank she offered him a credit card. He refused it saying she was trying to rip him off and he wanted cash. She told him she didn't have any cash and offered him her drivers license to hold and she would go to the bank and get money. He said " your drivers license is probably fake too, you will not leave until you pay". Now scared she called me and I went to the gas station and paid him in cash. She imediately went home and called Bank of America to find out why her card didn't work. They told her that a business she used her card at had been compromised and for her security they cancelled her card and will be sending her a new one. So we figured OK we will get over it, thinking it wouldn't happen again.
Well fast forward to a week ago, we are vacationing in Hawaii. We pay for the plane tickets, the condo rental, groceries etc. with no problem. Then halfway through the trip she goes to make a purchase and the clerk rudely states your card is no good. Thinking maybe the salt water had ruined the card she goes to the closest bank to withdraw cash and the teller once again rudely states this card is no good and procedes to call the next customer before my wife can even respond. She returns to the condo and calls Bank of America, they tell her they cancelled the card because of suspicious activity. What activity she asks, There are several large purchases in Hawaii. I'm vacationing in Hawaii she responds. Oh well that explains it, I will reactivate your card. So we think all is well. The next day she goes to use it and guess what same thing. She calls them back and know they tell her we can't reactivate a card once it's deactivated we will mail you a new one. I'm in Hawaii she responds. Sorry that's all we can do, they reply. So I am stranded in Hawaii with no money she tells them. Once again sorry, we'll mail mail you a new one. Luckily I had cards with another bank and we went on with our vacation but this could of ruined a very expensive vacation and left us stranded thousands of miles from home. The ridiculous thing is they told her you need to call us before you travel so this doesn't happen. This is our third trip to Hawaii using the same card, never had a problem before. On top of all this we just got home and she checks her account online which is suppose to have email alerts for suspicious activity and there is nothing. Apparently they will shut of your card with absolutely no notice, then tell you sorry nothing we can do about it. We will be swithing to a new bank.

rip off costamers
I received a check for services rendered. I took it to Bank of America and they told me i had to deposit it in my bank account to see if it was any good. I told them that was fine. (14) fourteen days later they told me check was no good and they were closing my account for depositing a forged check. I do not understand no money was drawn on that check or my account since that transaction why do i have to loose all my accounts with Bank of America. I am seeking a lawyer to find out how to get the funds that their holding in my accounts. Bank of America did not loose any funds and neither did myself. Why dose the little guy always suffer.

Credit Card
5 years ago I had some unauthorized charges on my BoA Credit Card. They contacted me before I ever saw a statement because the charges went over my credit limit. I asked to cancel the card and negotiated terms to pay off the card over three years and had them automatically deduct the payments from my checking account (with another bank). I never received a statement from BoA over this time but I kept track of the payments through my bank statements.
After 3 years I get a call from a BoA rep asking me to renew the payments. I was surprised and asked the rep for a balance due and was given an amount that would take several more years to pay. Due to my lack of diligence I could provide nothing in writing that showed I had originally agreed to pay the debt in three years time. The rep was discourteous and not very helpful but when I refused to authorize any more payments I eventually convinced her that I needed to speak with someone else. A very friendly and persuasive bank rep called (I'm sure that's why he has the job) and he convinced me that I had misunderstood the original terms from three years ago and we set up another payment schedule that would pay the debt off in three more years. The new payments were 3x's as much but I just wanted to get it over with and gave him my fax number and requested confirmation of our agreement via mail and fax and also monthly statements, and I received none of these. However, I was still able to track payments through withdrawals from my bank account. Yes, I'm too easy going and it is my fault but after a year I renewed the payments via phone and again requested something on paper. Again, I received nothing but they continued to withdraw $ from my account. Then on the 11th and 12th months they withdrew smaller amounts.
I was contacted by an ANGRY rep who wanted to know when I was going to pay the back amount due plus penalties. When I calmly asked why they hadn't withdrawn the correct amount she said that wasn't her concern but I needed to pay the amount due "NOW". And then she asked me to renew my payments for another year. I almost fell over when she told me the total debt was almost the same as it was 2 years ago! Yes, I've been negligent and bear some responsibility for letting it go on this long but something is wrong and I tried to get her to transfer me to someone that could answer my questions because she said she couldn't.
After 5 years I'd had enough and refused to renew payments until someone that could provide answers contacted me. The rep asked when I could be available and I gave her a date and a time to contact me. For the first time in 5 years I was prepared, I had 5 years of statements, dates and handwritten notes but I never received a call. After 30 minutes I called their customer service number but nobody knew what I was talking about. After 45 minutes of being put on hold and being transferred several times by impatient BoA employees I gave up. Then after two months I received a call from a collection agency which didn't go well because I refused to pay anything until someone could tell me where my payments had gone and I told them I would see them in court. After a week of calls (to my workplace) they gave up and I didn't hear from anyone for two more months when another collection agency, NES out of Ohio, contacted me about settling the debt. Well, that was yesterday and I've paid the current debt in full, $1100 more than the original amount owed. Where have my 5 years of payments gone and why did I never receive anything in writing from BoA?
Don't trust their reps and get it in writing because a verbal agreement is worthless. The reps (follow up callers, not the rude initial callers) tell you what you want to hear just to get more money out of you. Also, sometime over the past couple of years BoA bumped my interest rate to 22%, I never knew that because I never received a statement from them. My agreed upon payments weren't even keeping up with the interest charges!
I'll never get my money back but hopefully someone will read this and it will convince them to get their credit card through someone else. Or better yet, don't use a credit card at all.

Jacks up rates
Bank of America just jacked up their rates in the middle of a billing cycle. When they did so they also made the interest increase retroactive to past purchase we were still paying off. Not sure this is even legal. Since when purchased made they made with an agreed upon interest rate and now they have almost doubled that. Plus to be honest, their in bank customer service is the worst. Not the fault of the tellers, there just aren't ever enough employees around to do the job. 20 minutes in line to get a bank draft is ridiculous.

Worst company ever
I have a Bank of America bank account and credit card. The only reason I still have the bank account is I have an overdraft I haven't paid off yet. I barely use the account. I pay $25 monthly for the checking account even though the only use I have for it is to deposit money so I can pay my Bank of America Visa. They don't have a lower cost checking plan. They charge me 23% interest for my $9000 balance because I was one day late two times paying the visa. When I get my finances back in order I will never, ever do business with a company like Bank of America that pays fees before the customer.

No one else should ever set up an account with Bank of America
No one else should ever set up an account with Bank of America . They should have been one of the businesses that folded. Instead they used the government money to turn around and rip everyone off as often as possible. They labeled us as a high risk and increased our interest rate from9% to 37%. And then said we could take out a consolidation loan, through them mind you, to fix it. Any one and everyone should pull bank of America accounts immediately before they get you!!!
