UPS is a lair & terrible customer service
Case 1:
I had a package that sent from UK and confirmed that the package will be delivered before 11am, however the package was delivered about 4pm. It doesn't matter if only few hours later, the most terrified me is the tracking record showed that the package has been signed by me at 11am!! The truth is - the Australia UPS driver never ask me to sign me anything, he just left me the package then go ... but UPS lie that I have received it on time which is not true!
Case 2:
The customer service in Australia is terrible! The most terrible customer service I've ever met in my life! I've talked to a lady regarding to the procedure of return the package. The lady called Athena picked up my phone and I tried to let her know my situation but she told me she doesn't really understand, and asked me to talk to the company in UK because she is not responsible on it. after then I explained to her more details and she just cut my line and said thank you for calling bye. This is unbelievable and my first time to experience like this.
Case 3:
Another urgent package which was sent from China at 11 Dec and it has been scheduled to deliver on 14 Dec before 7pm. The online tracking site showed that the package has been arrived to Melbourne, Australia at 12 Dec. I've been waiting a whole day long but the UPS driver didn't come ... so I rang up to the customer service and the lady in Malaysia told me that she had no idea why the driver didn't deliver the package on time. God the shipment delay made everything delay ... I don't know what's wrong with that but I am still waiting for the driver to come, and UPS didn't explain me the reason why the shipment has been delayed even it's already in Melbourne. See below proof photo.
Don't use UPS! UPS IS THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER MET!!! I will not use UPS anymore! Fedex or DHL are better than UPS so so so so much!!! This is so terrible to deal with UPS and their business manner is totally disgusting!

Fraud
We have been shipping items to local and world wide locations for over 15 years from the Chicagoland area to places as far away as the Himalayas and in all those years, and with many shippers, the only shipper to damage and destroy things is UPS. They are careless, blameless, inept, and will take your money for insurance with NO intention of making good on obvious damage by their ignorant employees. Clear markings, such as "FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE", stating that the contents is in fact fragile, and also "$ HIGH CLAIM ITEM $" do not apply to UPS mentality. If you read their fine print you will discover that these labels are meaningless and they are not held responsible. UPS should be investigated.

LOST PACKAGE
was waiting for a package when I find out it was supposedly delivered and left at my front door, come to find out first they don't know which front door they left it at, then they tell me that it was not delivered to the front door but delivered to my mailman who was suppose to deliver it. I called the company from where the package was coming from they said that UPS was suppose to deliver it to my home not to the mailman. So UPS actually does not know what they did with the package. How irresponsible of these people, one of the biggest delivery service in the world and can't get information straight. So now I have no package or any information as to where this package is.

UPS damages our shipments
12/2/09
We manufacture cleaning product; it is liquid with either sprayers or screw-tops. We have been in business for over 20 years; UPS costs us lots of money, they CRUSH our boxes (and they are sturdy) never owning up to destroying our orders. They do not contact us to let us know in a timely manner that our customer didn't get their order, and are not customer friendly.
We switched to FedEx and are very happy. They rarely ruin our shipment and if they do they let us know right away; sometimes we see a check in the mail before we put in for a claim! That really happened! They are very customer oriented.
I really feel like we have been robbed by UPS, we are a very small business and each time we have to re-ship an order it costs us money. Even worse than that (and that is bad enough) our customer can't get their order so they can't sell to their customer. It makes our business look bad and we pay for the honor. I can not find a UPS Complain department either, has anyone else found that site?!
What can we do to get satisfaction, anyone have any idea's? I would like to be part of a huge group that complains to them and get some press; maybe they would change their policy. I heard the reason they don't care about their customers is because they are union and FedEx isn't...something to think about isn't it.

Incompetence, lying
Here is the tracking results for my package it was shipped on 11/24/09, (service 3day). It's now 11/30/09 and my package is still not delivered. But this is not the worst thing. The worst thing is the unbelievable lie they posted on their website. It says " THE RECEIVER IS ON A HOLIDAY. DELIVERY WILL BE ATTEMPTED WHEN THE RECEIVER RETURNS / PACKAGE WILL BE DELIVERED NEXT BUSINESS DAY-NO SATURDAY GUARANTEE". How can I be on holiday if I live in a private house in extreme residential area (the closest business is the gas station about 2.5 miles from my house). Above that it's already Monday and the last scan is destination scan and delivery is RESCHEDULED for tomorrow. Things like that happen to everyone that uses UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. But they should at least post an information like that:
The driver will not deliver you package today because he/she wants to go home early (to recover after Thanksgiving... hangover). That would be a true and maybe I wouldn't be so angry reading the lies they post. If somebody doesn't want to work (I thought we are in recession) let him/her go and hire somebody who will not roll the packages under the belt, even though they're due that very day. Unions+lazy employees+incompetent management=horrible business model. But who cares!!!

2nd Day Air Non-Delivery
UPS put my package on the truck 8 am on 11/27. I waited at home all day and it never showed. Suddenly, the package is shown as "reschduled" Surely you think, they will bring it out the next day, right? No way. Monday. Thus, 2nd day air becomes 5th day air. Thanks UPS. I called and offered to pick the package up myself on Saturday. They claim nobody works on Saturday. These guys are a joke and they don't care for the customer. I don't let me own business ship UPS for this exact reason, and I think I will stop ordering from anyone who uses UPS for their deliveries.

UPS package never received
I sent a package to someone through UPS Overnight Delivery. In the morning, I tracked it and the website said it was delivered and signed for. I called the recipient and he said he never got anything. He has a roommate and his roommate said the same thing. The driver claims he gave it to the roommate but we know he got his own package and it wasn't what I was sending. Now UPS is doing an investigation, and they said it will take a week. The package was very important and valuable and I paid a lot to have it delivered. I want to get my money back too. I am very upset about this and horrified by UPS. It sucks that they do most of the deliveries in the US.

Damaged Item in Shipping No Reimbursement
I recently paid nearly $200 to have an electronic/digital piano shipped by UPS. This item was packed in a professionally designed and built hard-shell case specifically made for transporting this particular item multiple times on the road during concert tours, etc. In addition, it was wrapped shut with several layers of packing tape.
It arrived at its destination damaged beyond repair. The recipient told me about it, I filed a claim with UPS, and they responded saying the latches had come undone and the item had fallen out of the case and was damaged. How the latches had come undone is a mystery as they were locked shut, not to mention the layers of packing tape that would have kept the case closed even if they latches were undone. And, it was obvious then that they knew about the damage prior to dropping off the shipment, with no mention of it to the recipient.
I will never give UPS another dime of my money as long as I live.

Scam charge
I called the UPS Store at 211 E Lombard St in Baltimore last week to ask 1) whether there were any fees associated with receiving a package there and 2) whether I would receive a phone call when the package arrived.
To the first question I was told, yes, there's a receiving fee and, if the package is held overnight, a holding fee.
To othe second question I was told that if the sender wrote "Hold for pickup" and my phone number on the package, that I would receive a call. Making sure, I repeated this instruction to the employee, "So if the sender writes 'hold for pickup' and my phone number on the package, you will call me the day it arrives?" He said, "Yes."
But they didn't call me the day it arrived. Wondering why I hadn't yet heard from them, I called the UPS Store. They said, yes, your package is here.
I went to pick it up. They charged me the holding fee.
The person I assume is the manager said it was my fault the package was held overnight. "YOU call. You're supposed to call."
I told him that I was told by an employee of this very store that if the package bore the words "hold for pickup" that I would be the one receiving a phone call. I pointed out the words on my package that said "hold for pickup", followed by a phone number.
He said, "How are we supposed to know to call you? You call if you want to pick up your package."
I repeated my claim using different words (maybe he didn't get it the first time). I asked him at least to acknowledge that it wasn't my fault that I got bad information from an employee.
He responded, "We can't know to call. You call."
More back and forth like this escalated to the point where I was almost shouting, "I was TOLD you'd call! I double-checked! There are instructions on the package to call which I wouldn't have even bothered with if someone at YOUR store didn't give me said instructions."
He wouldn't do that. I don't blame him for saying "I don't want to talk to you anymore, " because I was clearly upset, but I didn't start out being upset.
He didn't hear me, wouldn't listen, wouldn't acknowledge that one of his employees gave me bad information. Nothing. He didn't even know what I was saying.
I can't help it if a business uses UPS to send me packages, but I won't be using them to deliver any.

Scam and cheating
We have a UPS store in our neighborhood. As no one is home all day, we thought it would be convenient place to have UPS packages delivered and on occasion USPS ones as well. About a month ago we a USPS package showed up there from overseas. We had about given up hope of ever seeing as it had been in transit for a couple months (an awfully long time for airmail from anywhere). Upon examination, we saw numerous annotations from the USPS stating that they'd left delivery notices over the course of several weeks - apparently the geniuses at this store had never bothered to put the notices in our box. Guess the USPS delivery guy got tired and just left the package.
Today, another package from this same place apparently arrived at the store. We got a call at home from the store stating that they had gotten a package addressed to our box but didn't think it was for us. We didn't quite know what to make of the the message to dropped by. The clerk told us that they'd refused delivery because the package was from Russia (which is how we know it was from the same place) but that they didn't recognize the name - mispelled, bad penmanship, or what we don't know. Now we're scrambling trying to head off the USPS from returning it back to Russia.
Thanks UPS store - you a model of customer service.
