I received a quote to have my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee shipped from San Marcos, CA to Alexandria, VA in May of 2010. On 10 May, I paid a deposit of $190.00 from my Paypal account. I got GO 950 TomTom car navigation on Christmas 2009 for using in Europe. It was sold with green label saying that there is 2 years free maps update uncluded. After 8 months I conected it to my computer and the TomTom software said that this offer expired and I am not going to get anything free. BE AWARE BUYING TOMTOM. Paid $900 for a low mileage (43k) 2001 Dodge V8 engine. Inside of the engine looked like a 200k engine with inches of sludge. My mechanic said it sure didnt look like a 43k engine I did not ship it back due to the cost and assurance from ETW that it was as stated a 43k engine. (what a bunch of lies) Now that it is installed it uses (not leaks) 2 quarts of oil on a 300 mile trip. And a freeze plug between the engine and transmission started leaking. During an inspection it was discovered that the sub-frame was rotting off of the automobile. The right side welded attachment to the main frame was 70% gone, the left side was 30% gone and most of the welds of the weldment were showing signs of corrosion and fatigue. As this sub-frame serves to support the engine, transmission and some of the suspension components it is an serious accident just waiting to happen. Traded my car in June 10th 2010 for a new Toyota. I was still making payments on my trade in. To this day (Aug. 3rd 2010) my trade in has not been paid off. Im in collections with the bank it is financed through. I will have to start making the payments on a car I no longer have in order to save my credit score. This is a horrible car dealership I wish I never bought a car from them. It is surprising that such a reputed Company of India has kept unscrupulous and underworld connected Dealers, in many parts of the country who when contacted about service or warranty matters, laugh at you and threaten you. I took my car to the Bowden Ford in Alice on 06/02/10 because the engine light had stayed on, it was the Automatic Transmission Control Module it was fixed and released on 06/17/06. A week later the engine light stayed on again and I took it in to see what the problem was this time. I recently purchased some motorcycle bags from Vikingbags.com. They are located in Whittier, CA. What a HORRIBLE experience! I ordered bags based on the photo and description given on their website and had them sent to my mother’s address in Florida where I was headed to purchase a motorcycle. These guys are the biggest phonies in the car business. They make it look like you get $2, 000 (or $2, 500) for your trade, but all of the prices on the cars are over inflated. While attempting to buy my second car from Maruti I was subjected to cheap antics by the dealer, Sai Service, Edapally, Cochin, Kerala. They had promised in writing that the car shall be delivered within 25 days of my booking. On the specified date, I was told that there is a car available. But after taking the DD and reaching their location, they informed that car shall be provided only if I buy other accessories(Alloy Wheels, Keyless entry etc.) from them. Horrible warranty service, ended with heated abuse from their service manager. I have an extended warranty which sounds like it covers the entire car but really only covers selected parts. Meadowlands Nissan first insisted that I had no warranty at all, even though I had the same car serviced there under the same warranty a few months earlier. They diagnosed a litany of problems when they thought it was a cash transaction. Once I convinced them that I had a warranty and that the items THEY had listed as needing repair WERE warranted, they CHANGED THE LIST of required parts to those that were NOT covered by my extended warranty. I have Santro Xing XS model and recently I gave my car service to HMP Ekaduthangal for very low Mileage problem. I used to get only 9 kms on highway and petrol consumption is very heavy. I also had a car loan from Road Loans, who then became Drive Financial and finally Santander Consumer. They are HORRIBLE! First of all I became disabled at work so I fell behind on my payments. They said they would work with me, but neglected to state that there was a $10.95 LATE FEE per day! My original contract with Road Loans said nothing about that and I haven't received an updated statement of terms for this company. I was paying $300 every 2 weeks to catch up. I had a similar experience with Jim Castelli that guy is a total scumbag. Last year during the cash for clunkers program I purchased a Nissan altima coupe. Jim Castelli said that I will get the $4, 500 back for my clunker trade in when the dealership got the $4, 500 reimbursed from the government. After one week I found out that I was supposed to get the $4, 500 taken off right away but when I confronted him about this he said that there was no record of me ever turning in a cash for clunker vehicle and that I was never owed $4, 500. Ordered a set of front rotors/Brakes and a pair of brake shoes for the rear of a 2001 Toyota 4runner.
