I recently completed an online high school diploma course from Stratford Career Institute.I tried to enroll for school or this fall and the school said that the diploma was not accredited and could not be accepted. Stratford claims that it is a career diploma only and there web site states its a "HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA". I completed a medical transcription course and was advised by the school personel to pay the fee and take the CMT (Certified Medical Transcription) exam. Mark Z. has been repeatedly, making sexual remarks to female workers, bragging about his swinging marriage, and went to far when he started making racial remarks, also telling, one female, she cant use the computer because she is Jewish. When your child is physically unable to play an instrument for several months due to an unexpected surgery to repair severed nerves and tendons in his hand, they require that you pay for lessons for those months anyway. I was promised three weeks ago that they would do so. I was attending Axia until recently. I was enrollen first In Aug 2007 and so happy to be enrolled. My problems began when I was almost finished with the program. I have signed a contract to enroll into a Private Vocational Nursing program. The cost of the program was "outined" to include books and materials such as the laptop that is necessary for the online mandatory testing that accounts for part of our grade on each particular module. In the student handbook and in the enrollment contract, there was never a mention of having to pay additional monies for instruction online, or otherwise. If you are considering spending thousands of dollars on sailing lessons; look at the other school in San Carlos. If you choose the San Carlos Sailing School, you will not be treated to sailing lessons but rather to intense personal degradation and be placed in an extremely hostile environment. I was also dealt a bad hand with PC ProSchools...and I understood the risk when I signed up (while also thinking will it pay off-the 25k in private loan tuition). After checking out the first few pages of the book on this site I realized that the classes are simply the $125 book divided into chapters and charged 50-150 bucks to take. I ordered a trial rapid reading cd. I was given an extended trial because by the time I received the item, the trial would have been over. I returned the item on March 3, 2009 via the USPS.
