They called my wife and convinced her to give them our credit card saying that we had to sign up for this for our son to take SATs. She thought it was the college board. They charged us $119. I went online and found the tel. number the next day. They did answer and assured me that they would refund my money. Never happened. I am currently having difficulty opting out of Vancouver Island University's health and dental plan. January 5, 2009 is the date in which I started my first semester at this school. Upon registration I was not made aware of an opting out date (Feb 1st) and I did not receive any opting out appeal papers. i took an on line CPR course payed by credit card and I never got my CPR card. firstaid web seems to be a scam that many others have complaint about following all that is requested of the student/ customer to do which is to pay by credit card take the test and you'd be able to print your card or obtain in within 7 days. Do NOT buy SAT prep product from this company. First of all, they tell you that your child expressed an interest in it but the kids know nothing about it. Second, it has KAPLAN printed on product, but they are not affiliated with Kaplan, they merely buy Kaplan's product (for approx $30 and turn around and sell it for $119) It come with a full return if not satisifed, however it is Impossible to contact them for an RA#. You are put on hold endless hours, told they will call you back, which they will not do. I had to cancel my CC finally after much aggravation. I enrolled in Kaplan University in January, 2009 for what I thought would be in courses that would teach me to troubleshoot, repair, build, and maintain computers. Instead I ended in a class that teaches how to build web servers and the likes. Not only that they charged way too much money for the two classes I was enrolled in. so i was put in contact with van rue . i was told that they were in charge of my college loans. They told me that i would just have to complete a 10 months program and i was told that then i would be able to get my income taxes back. what they fail to tell you is that even if you miss a month and then talk to them and get it straight. they will reset your time. Also make sure that you don't set up their automatic payment plan. when i did it and the payments were not coming out they will tell you that it is not your fault and that you have no proof that it was even set up. read full review »

I came across this website offering CD for $2.29 Shipping only. However, I didn't get the CD and they charged me $39.95 monthly fee. I called the 800 # from my bank report 1-800-487-7085 and spent more than 15 minutes trying to get the person (in India) to understand I wanted to cancel my account. I purchased the Cleared for Takeoff software Series. This consisted of 20 disks with lessons for flight school on each disk. I was able to use disk 1 to 6 but after lesson 6 the software kept telling me I had to be registered to use the software. I am having exactly the same problem. I ordered some LCR dice games. They sent me a notice the order had shipped and charged my credit card. After weeeks of waiting the games are still not here. I've e mailed several times and got no response. There's not a phone number for them I can find. CSB is a total scam. $11000 for what? You can get a AA degree in broadcasting from your local junior college for less than half that. I went to the CSB in northern NJ back in the early 90s when it was in Rochelle Park, NJ. Back then it was like $4000 to go. The place is a total joke.
