I ordered an Ideapad from Lenovo on 9/22/2008. At the time of order the product web site stated that the order would be shipped within 3 business days. Three days later the estimate shipping date was changed to 10/01/2008. The product website still stated that order would be shipped within 3 business day. One 10/01/2208 the estimate shipping date was changed to 10/28/2008. I called Lenovo and the Customer Service rep told me that the shipping date might be moved to 11/07/2008. I ordered these digital converter box coupons back in March of 2008, they expired in July of that same year. I never used them. I want to be able to get 2 more coupons as I don't think they should have had an expiration date on them especially since the switch to digital is not until 2/2009. I don't understand the 3 month expiration at all. These boxes were not even available around here during that time I had those coupons. This program doesn't seem to have helped at all. Purchased an AKAI 32" LCD and within 14 months the main PCB board failed. Of course the waranty was for ony 12 months. The cost of the LCD was around $700 US and the quote to repair is over $1100 US. Tweeter subcontracted with Elwin for in-home repair for our 50 inch tV that is still under warranty. Elwin left a message on our answering machine that said they would send a service tech between "2 and 6" tomorrow and that we should call before 8:30 if this was not convenient. I decided to take a 1/2 day off work to meet them at the house. By 4:45 they never showed. I called and they said they were not coming. That our service call was canceled because we did not call. I purchased a LG RC199H DVD recorder/VHS combo from Best Buy and the dvd player lasted about 9 months. I sent the product to LG and they told me that I needed a new dvd player. I called Verizon Tech support after being disconnected in the middle of working from home for the umpteenth time. I was not reconnecting with the usual techniques (restart modem, reboot, etc). Don't ever subscribe for cell phone insurance unless maybe you paid $500 for your phone. Then again you can probably use the insurance thru your AmEX card and it would be better. It's not worth it with the monthly fees, the high deductible, the crappy replacement phones, and the lousy customer service.
