I too just experienced their VERY deceptive sales practice. I ordered a DSLR camera "package"...Executive Package to be precise. I just want to advise anyone purchasing a computer from Toshiba. They will look for anything to get out of their warranty. I purchase the laptop from CompUSA, Anchorage Alaska in 2005. Within a year, the motherboard died. They claimed there was liquid damage to it, there was not, there was a little surface stain by a speaker. I ordered a new TiVO DVR Monday, 12/10/07. It was delivered Friday, 12/14/07. They even threw in a free wireless connection. Although I have been able t connect two wireless laptops to my network, and TiVO was able to see my network, it was unable to connect. When I called customer tech support I was told to call the modem and/or router manufacturer for support or use ethernet or phone connection. A little over a year ago my wife and I purchased a Sony Handy Cam on the day before we were leaving for Disney World Orlando. The sales person insisted we purchase an extended warranty because the manufacturers warranty would not cover everything and because we were spending $700 on a camera, we agreed it was best to be covered. Hi, I purchased a TATA connection with mobile from Kochi, Kerala paying full amount. Now I am relocated to Bangalore. When I asked to activate a new TATA nubmer which I took from Bangalore, they said that I have to purchase a new mobile. Or to transfer the current number to another phone. It is a cheat by TATA if I can't use the phone that I have already paid for. The only thing I can do as per their advice is to burn out the current set and buy a new set. we received a trutech television with dvd for xmas 07 it was to be used in our rv, so that tells you that its not used hard at all. but after the third time of using (3) it it quit working. well do you return it or what the tv still works but only after you can figure out the remote because if you dont do this or that you cant get channels to come in , and reception is terrible. this was a gift so how do you return that with out slips very disappointed in this product as for target i am surprised that they carryied this brand but as a store they are okay to me. read full review »

Ordered books worth Rs.750-/ by way of credit card. The payment has gone through on 17th september 2007 but it is more than 3 months now, books have not been delivered at all. We are unable to contact them over phone or by mail. It seems these people have made it their habit to earn money by cheating the poor public. If they are so hard off for money, why don't they beg. i have been running after various servcie centres for an ON/OFF panel of my nokia e 50 model. it's been more that 45 days but still no solution to the problem. The phone was last handed over to lazpat nagar nokia care center but was returned back without rectifying the problemafter 8 days.subsequent follow ups have also not yielded any results. the center manager does not really qualify for the chair he is manning owing his customer interaction ways and discipline. this kind of service is unheard and seen of a brand of repute such as NOKIA. read full review »
