I agree with the aforementioned complaints and am just as irate. I tried calling 3 times today and their automatic message is that the phones are down until December 22, 2008. I also received a confirmation of cancellation and immediately followed the instructions and have USPS receipts validating date of return. I purchased a Toshiba 23 " HDTV, model 23HLV84 in February 2005. There was a problem with the television, and I exchanged it for a new one in May 2005. Within a year, the up and down volume buttons failed on the remote. These buttons control many functions on the TV. Toshiba replaced the remote under the warranty. I purchased a Toschiba 52" LCD from Conn's. They said they could even deliver it the same day. However, that was 60 days ago and the television has not worked for five weeks. It took their service dept. three weeks for their first trip and the service tech. was not sure what the problem might be. OH MY GOD!! My partner and I just had a horribly experience with Minds of Media. We requested a Logo design and when it was received (let me tell you)... our company name was spelled WRONG and we then decided that we did not want any revisions or corrections, just our MONEY back, they refuse to refund us via pay pal and told us that we had to wait 10 business days to get our money and now that has come and gone and we still don't have our money back. Please be very careful when using this site. I ordered a headset which was labeled in GOOD CONDITION but wounding up having a broken mic. I combed the product information and no where did it state the mic was not working. They stated the item was salvage and sold AS IS but I didn't take it to mean the product was SORTA BROKEN. These people are really criminal. They mislead you into believing that your purchasing a license to use the software that you originally google searched. I got screwed searching for Nero CD burning software but I see that someone elso on this site did the same thing searching for Adobe. DTV charged my checking account without my authorization. It was not a bill. We did not owe them anything, they just took it. This then resulted in almost $300 in overdraft fees. I too was hit with a check over the weekend for 29.95. I sold mary kay a few years back and the address on the electronic check that was processed matched that address when i first started with mary kay. I have contacted my bank of america account as well as the fbi in regards to this matter. I tried to contact mary Kay's legal department but I did not get a person just a recording asking me to place my complaint in writing and send it into them. I just finished reading a fellow rip-off about Lucid Magazine based out of L.A./San Diego and had the EXACT same experience. They sent me two sample issues which looked fine enough plus a writer's contract which I faxed back. After completing two stories for the publication, I never heard back from Shane Padamada again. When I was installing the software my virus program kept on coming up a virus has been detected. Why is this so? I disabled my virus program (Avast) and it installed ok. I then ran my virus program and it picked up 4 malware and trojons. I deleted these and it worked ok. I only used it as a test though. never did a tranfere of disk to disk. Could you expl;ain why? I paid for a 2 year subscription in July 2007 via PayPal. After receiving no issues by October 2007, I attempted to contact the company via phone fax, email, and postal mail and received no response. I then contacted the NY state attorney general's office to make a formal complaint. The attorney general's office investigated and eventually notified me that they also were unable to make contact with the company. I had Fios for less then a month. The final bill they sent me was $642.98. I have spent well over 10 hours trying to straighten this mess out. I had spoken with many supervisors that promised to fix the bill to $130.00. Never happen they sent several bills all over the $130.00. I was waiting on the final bill and they sent my account to a collection agency for $259.01, bring down my credit record and score while I was applying for a home loan and was turned down for a loan because of the collection account. Great TV until the picture went blank after just 18 months. The audio continued but I would have gotten a better discreption of the ballgame on radio. Of course it was out of warranty and I did not buy the extended coverage offered by Best Buy due to the high cost.
