A young man came to my door in August of 2008 selling magazine subscriptions for a chance to win a trip to Cancun. I asked how long it would take for the magazine I subscribed to would come and was told 4-6 weekes. Two months and $40 dollars later, still no magazine. No movies on The Movie Channels? I noticed lately that the movie channels that We all pay extra for on satellite, are now running a lot more half-hour and full-hour series. This is a little trivial, but doesn’t everyone expect movies when they tune to The Movie Channel. I know it’s all ratings/ dollars because the series are more on the edge stuff not seen on regular TV and gather loads of praise, but does anybody know anybody that have answers as to why broadcast people do this to the regular movie watching guy? I signed a contract with online america and they said I had 14 days to cancel. I cancel throuh their web site and before I heard a reply it was past the time to cancel so they said I would have to pay the the 19.99 amonth for a year. They wer suppose to give technial support to set up for advertising and they did set the appointment but then never called. I ordered a replacement lamp in June and after 3 weeks of different stories of when it would arrive I cancelled the order. I had not received the refund after a week and called to complain. I was told that they had just changed their process and could not refund my card and that it would be sent out in the form of a check. I purchased Trend Micro's AntiVirus 2008 from Best Buy. Due to incompatibility issues I could not use it. Best Buy does not offer a refund for opened software so I contacted Trend Micro and asked how to get a refund directly from them, but they emailed me back telling me that they are "bound to comply with the retail store policies." It's quite absurd for them to hide behind a retail store's policies and totally abandon the customer with unusable software! I purchased Quickbooks Premier 2007 on August 28, 2008 from Soft4Download. I was able to use the product for about a month before the program demanded that I register it with Intuit. So as instructed I called Intuit to register. It was not long after I had given the operator the product and license key that the operator told me that I had purchased a pirated copy of quickbooks. I provided exceptional maintenance services to spence management group who owns 65 burger king stores in Illlinois, Ohio and PA. The work is above average, I did $5600 worth of free extra's and they out right refuse to pay for any labor. Since this problem of getting paid has started, I have found another 5 contractors who have been screwed around and not been fully paid if at all. THis is the standard pratice of this organization. This company got my college aged son's credit card number and began sending him several magazines which are of no interest to him - he did not select them - and charged him 60 some dollars a month. He contacted his bank, cancelled the card and the bank agreed that this was fraudulent and they reversed the charges. Meanwhile, the magazines and the invoices kept coming.
