I ordered a book with the title Oracle Forensics from rampant press on the 22nd of August 2007, at the time of placing the order I was informed that the order will be shipping in a few weeks time. Everyone should be aware that this is a fraudulent company. I ordered magazines last christmas and they have never been received. When I tried to contact them, I received an answering service. I ordered earthlink satellite thinking i was going to get really great service for my area. They came out and installed my satellite immediately. My service was slower than dial up. I called up cust svc. I spent 6 hrs on the phone being transferred from dept to dept with no resolution. We ran various speed tests and still they could not help me. I ordered the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts collection on 12-8-07. I charged it to my Visa Card a total of $88.18, they said I would be getting a confirmation email within 48 hours of the order, never happened . Tried to get onto their orders@UltimateDVDShop website that they give you... no such website. Same complaint as others in regards to the phone number they give you ,1-877-7-TV-SHOW. I placed an order with The DVD Planet also known as Universal Gift Ventures on 11/7. I was given the excuse that my order was shipped to an incorrect address followed by another email that there was a problem with their shipping department and they were correcting the problem by sending the orders out manually. I ordered 6 seasons of carol burnettt and friends and a tim conway comedy for #$120.00, they had no problem charging my card, but they also sent me only 1 season with the video case all smashed and the tapes all scratched/which also skipped and froze when I tried them. I am Indian by origin and was with a group of friends tonight at Back Proch. Initially, we were let in and got drinks. We found some couch seating and with the permission of the waiter, sat down. After about half and hour, the waiter came by and asked us to give up our seats because there were other people (presumably more important) to be seated. Tried to purchase a book on Forensics from these people in July 2007. Credit card charged and no product ever sent. No reply to frequent communications. Others who have suffered are urged to contact e-crimes unit of Australian Police or the IC3 group in the USA In Australia you can contact Dept of Fair Trading as they claim on website amongst other things that the customer won't be charged until the order is shipped and they can be prosecuted under Asutralian law if this claim is shown to be misleading. Unfortunately they got my old creditcard number and my registration from a company I worked for. They posted my name on the side as well. I told them to remove me, but the next I saw was a redraw from my account - and when I stopped it, they even produced a total report based on a conversation, that never took place. On November 16th, I ordered a movie Centennial. I have yet to receive it. I was also over charged for the item. Through the Post Office site for Canada it shows it's sitting in Broussard Quebec Candada since December 3rd. The company says it's not available, but yet it's sitting in a Post Office. Not sure if I filled out above complaint form correctly a bit confusing whose address details you need, I filled in mine. THIS IS a BAIT and SWITCH operator. Check the Better Business Bureau site and the complaints filed against them. Advertised on-line, I found an almost too good to be true price, which it was. I was required to call and validate my credit card and when I did they tried to switch to upsize the order. I was told that I had to buy a $200 battery to operate the camcorder as it did not include one?? This ran the price past what conventional retailers where offfering. BEWARE this scam of door to door salespeople with sad stories, asking you to give donations to help inner city school kids by purchasing books and magazines. I ordered a movie November 16th, and have been fighting with this company ever since. I've tried doing live chat with them & they change their story every other line - they can't even tell the truth or don't know what the truth is. I will be trying to do a stop payment on the order. They claim I will have it by December 31st, but I was also promised I would have it by December 3rd. I think they're the biggest scam artists I've ever seen. Ordered a magazine in July - it's 12/11 and still have not received a magazine. Voicemails go unanswered. Inquiries on their customer service online page go unanswered. Almost impossible to get through on their 1-800 customer service line. Ordered the Mini series CENTENNIAL earlier in the month of November. Did not receive any e-mail verification for order. Was beginning to think it had not been processed when I received the package yesterday. Not an original of the series, 12 disks but copies of some sort, poorly made not comprising the whole series. The series was about 2600 minutes or more. We received disks of 57 through 30 or 31 minutes some of which did not even play. The Naspers Group has awarded the contract to trace shareholders to TSP (shareholders partnership) to claim ordinary shares under the Phuthuma Nathi shares scheme. They have not made any attempts themselves to get hold of the shareholders, but grant TSP the right to claim 15% admin fee to award the cash benefits from the above scheme. Just want to share the horrible experience I had with The Times of India. I subscribed for The Times of India and The Sunday Times (Order # 52852 and 54022) in May'07 for an amount of Rs 175 in total) and was supposed to get the copies from Jun'07.
