I order Direct TV in Sept 07 with hi def. Now they take 3 hi def channels that came with the hi def package, and they separate them now into another 5 dollar add on. When I call them they say their continually trying to improve their service with additional programming. The improvement however is to their benefit. And now I have to pay 250 dollars to get out if their 'contract' which states, they can do anything at anytime and you'll either pay or pay more! What a crook. read full review »

They added a $7 extra charge they didn't tell me about, and never delivered the video I ordered. They never sent the promised confirmation email either. Hamburger served rare instead of well done as requested-waitress showed no interest what so ever--even after asking her if she even remembered that I requested it well-done-seemed to become irritated with me and placed refill soda on table without even glancing at me had back turned when she placed it on the table. This company is doing mass hirings under the guise of customer service representative. There is no mention of sales in the interviews or until you have been in training for four weeks. By the time they put you out on the phones you have little to no experience in sales. They then start pressuring you to sell sell sell or lose your job. I established my service on Dec. 1st of 2007 and spoke with Cristy in the Sales department, I made it clear to her what I wanted and she made her offers. I am very disappointed in the service I have continued to receive for this company... I stop at this particular McDonalds almost every night and something is always wrong. I ordered earthlink satellite thinking i was going to get really great service for my area. They came out and installed my satellite immediately. My service was slower than dial up. I placed an order with The DVD Planet also known as Universal Gift Ventures on 11/7. I was given the excuse that my order was shipped to an incorrect address followed by another email that there was a problem with their shipping department and they were correcting the problem by sending the orders out manually. I charged it to my Visa Card a total of $88.18, they said I would be getting a confirmation email within 48 hours of the order, never happened . I am Indian by origin and was with a group of friends tonight at Back Proch. Initially, we were let in and got drinks. We found some couch seating and with the permission of the waiter, sat down. After about half and hour, the waiter came by and asked us to give up our seats because there were other people (presumably more important) to be seated. Tried to purchase a book on Forensics from these people in July 2007. Credit card charged and no product ever sent. No reply to frequent communications. Others who have suffered are urged to contact e-crimes unit of Australian Police or the IC3 group in the USA In Australia you can contact Dept of Fair Trading as they claim on website amongst other things that the customer won't be charged until the order is shipped and they can be prosecuted under Asutralian law if this claim is shown to be misleading.
