Well... perhaps my fault partly but in 2003 installed RealNetworks RealPlayer and didnt realize I registered for membership and just now in 2008 (900 dollars later) determined I was a member... sure, part my fault... but why would they continue to charge my account when no activity logging into there service for 5 years?!? They gave me 3 month refund... 45 dollars... I was billed 900 DOLLARS ! I recommend when installing anything... don't give any card even if it is for 14 days trial... they wont make it easy for you to see that you will be billed... and after 5 years maybe give you 45 dollars refund. read full review »

At the time that I ordered satellite TV from Direct Star TV, I was talked into accepting the offer of a free month of Sirius Satellite Radio. I was referred to this company by a "friend". They were looking for someone to create a discriminative screening engine, allowing only the best people to receive e-mail invitations to movie screenings. We received a Shrek 3 DVD for Christmas of 2007. There was an "Instant Win" game piece attached to the DVD. Upon opening the game piece, we noticed we had won 25- 4"x6" photo prints. I placed an order on Dec 8th for 2 tv show DVD sets- Emails were sent confirming shipment & payment was deducted from my VISA Debit card through a secure site. The order was received by Christmas eve. In January, i reached out to inquire about the order- the SITE was no longer taking orders- my order was delivered to a Naples Fl. address from Canada. I "upgraded" my two HD-10 receivers with the advertised new and improved HD-20 receivers. Since they installed a new satellite on my roof and the two new receivers, I lost my HD service with all five local channels. I bought a DVD ripper software from www.dvdtox.com on the 16 th of January. They wrote that I could get money back within 30 days if I was not happy about the software. I tried it and did not like it. So I followed their return policy, and forwarded the receipt to them in a mail, explaining why I wanted a refund. My biggest complaint with realplayer is that I can't play purchased music. Most of the time I have used 'free credit' because I have Superpass. When I try to play any of my purchased music I get one of three messages: "We can't find the music", "This is a Rhapsody download and you can only play it after you log into your Rhapsody account" They don't tell me I bought it there, just that I downloaded it from there. I bought a set of DVD's - Dharma & Greg - from these people and the cases arrived broken. I contacted them and was told they would send new ones. I wrote several times but the cases never arrived. Then, I found that some of the DVDs were faulty too. They promised me they would replace them but they never did. This company charged my credit card $187 for my orders on January 5th. I paid extra money to have my order send by 2nd day air. It is now January 28th, and I have not received my orders. I have called, emailed, and "chatted" with their customer service person (who says my orders have been mailed). Otherwise, this company will not call or email me in response to my many attempts to communicate with them. I think that their DVD World doesn't exist except online. Sometime during the night, an icon showed up on my computer tray. It is an alternating blue shield and red shield w/x. This is usually when some threat is detected by my antivirus program. I was with a party of five waiting for an available table for over 30 minutes. A party of 10 who were black came in 20 minutes after us and a black hostess and waitress took two table and set up for them and were going to make us continue waiting.
