I ordered a trial offer, supposedly for the cost of shipping and handling, only to find that I ended up being signed up for monthly charges of $87.00 and change. I called and told them I never agreed to this and was told "you should read the small print" and they refused to refund the money to my account. I don't recall reading anything saying I would be on the monthly shipping and charge account. If I had known that was the case I would not have even bothered to order a trial. I order one of Juniors "Sugar Free Sampler" Cheesecakes for my diabetic father. A few days later, when I talked with him, I asked him what he thought of the different flavors of cake. He told me there was only one flavor. He also mentioned that, when he ate it, it raised his blood sugar so high that he had to go to the doctor. I saw this product ad on MySpace. I signed up for the free trial at $3.87. NOWHERE in the ad did it say "Ten days to cancel membership". I was not aware that I was signing up for a "membership". Went into the office with a cavity. The dentist drilled for a while and then said she couldn't fill the tooth it had to have a root canal. No choice sitting in the chair with a drilled out tooth. they don't put on crowns there, they use an "onlay" which looked awful. 4 visits and the cost was over $2, 000. Back in 2007 I was going through a divorce and moved back into my parents home. With my Geisinger health insurance I have a $500 deductible plus copays ect. So I asked to be put on a payment plan about $50 a month until payed off. I would send more if I could. So it took me one year to pay off this account. I went to the store because I had recently bought a necklace. I brought the necklace to the store for a refund/credit/exhange because the glass gem slipped off the chord and shattered into pieces. The gem should have caught onto something so that it doesn't easily come off the chord. I was lucky that nobody got hurt from stepping on the glass pieces. I had a coupon to go to this dental office in Plano for an exam and cleaning. When the hygienist got done with me, she told me that I needed a $900 (additional) deep cleaning because I had periodontal disease. I had periodontal surgery several years ago and no longer have the disease. Today I went to another dentist to get a full workup for the Peace Corps and they told me I just needed an $81 regular cleaning. When I called Texas Dental and explained, they again refused to give me the regular cleaning. Seems to me they are just trying gouge me. Thane.com had me on the $56/mo x 4 months payment plan as originally agreed upon in March 2010, but when I called in April to give a different credit card number, the telemarketer changed my billing status to "pay in full." He did not ask permission nor inform me of this change! When I saw the $256 charge to my bank account, which was $25 more than I owed even if I DID want to pay in full, I called Thane. I was told they could not correct their error, apologized for the obvious mistake, and that there was not a single supervisor in the office to talk to me!
