Our contract states we cannot transfer our contract for 48 months, but does not say we cannot terminate it. We tried to terminate, but are not allowed to, but instead are "obligated" to pay $99 a year, basically for life. This company bills me in excess despite my numerous requests to remove me from their databases and credit my account with money they have been charging me since October 2006. I was slammed to this ESBI, Inc., by my Local phone service provider SBC(now AT&T after AT& T bought SBC) What can I do to stop this illegal billing from this illegitimate company which does not provide any service, but just billing like crazy? We ordered clothing (a pair of pants) from Haband, on line which offered free shipping. After ordering and receiving the clothing from Haband we noticed a charge showing up on our credit card from Encore Marketing for $14.95. Mislead me to beleive I was purchasing Health Insurance for my family. Once I received the benefit information I decicded to cancel the membership and forfit a $30.00 transaction fee. This company is horrible! It is ultimately owned by WL Ross & Co. LLC Their call center is clearly housed in some hovel in India. No one speaks English! They provide absolutely no service. I have had FOUR unathorized withdrawals by Platinum Member:Fortress Secured INC. The first one was on 10/07/08 for $49.95, The second one was on 10/15/08 for $7.99, the third one was on 10/16/08 for $49.95, and the forth one was on 10/16/08. I was suppose to get the magazine "SELF" and never received it. After several phone calls and getting very upset the lady told me to fax a letter requesting a refund and I would have a check in 10 days. I still haven't recieved it and all I get is the answering machine or answering service which I leave a message everytime to call me back and never get a call back. I called on 10-20-08 spoke to Richard (one of the owners) and told him I was upset that I own two Fisher/Paykel dish drawers. I was one of the original owners, one of the first people to own the drawers. The price was very expensive. They are now half of what I paid. This company is running a scam. Just try to call their "customer service" number (1-888-692-8352) and you will never get a live person, it is just a phone runaround. I canceled my order after getting the product and they sent other things i did not order and charged me for. they said i needed to opt out when i sign up for free trial. then i get charged after i cancelled and e-mail the customer support and received an e-mail back saying it was for the remaining balance of the trial bottle after 14 days. I hired them after persistant calls and emails from a Steve Byrne. Told me he can save my house from foreclosure.
