Geek Squad/Best Buy
October 25, 2008
Did a live chat with Geek Squad. I told them what I needed done on my computer. They gave the tech the wrong info. He said he didn't know how. He took off our antivirus, charged us $170.00 and left. I put a stop payment on the check. I tried calling the local store and then the corporate office. All were extremely rude. They sent it to a collection agency. I sent in my documentation showing I had to pay another computer tech to fix the original problem and then fix what the Geeks messed up. Over 2 years later and a 3rd collection agency, they are calling me again. NEVER USE GEEK SQUAD! read full review »

I believe this is a scam. I filled out their form sent them the $54.00 and it took them a month to send something back. Then the letter they sent me told me i was going to be assembling booklets. Well they sent me something to send out to people where I put my name on the forms and send them to people, hopeing they will reply back to buy the books and I will keep the $29.00 as a profit. But then i have to ORDER the books from the company and BUY the stamps and BUY the envelopes and Copy the form to send to people. Now really it costed me more... read full review »

Horizon Freight Systems
Pat54 April 21, 2011
We had never done business with them but when they called us and asked for a favor we agreed on a price and said okay. Horizon Freight asked that we "please" hold a delivery for them over a week end so that they could make another delivery. After weeks of not paying we said Okay how about half of what we agreed on, that's better than nothing right, well after 2 months they still have not paid that...so much for doing a favor with a stanger. Now they willn't call us back. read full review »

Put in a claim to get roof fixed and roofers had defective material. Had to replace the entire roof again and had leaks and roof damaged caused by workers the second time. Many calls have been made to owner to schedule a repair date but have been given the run around. It's been over six months and repairs still have not been done. DO NOT recommend this company. CrossCheck
Alex S April 29, 2011
When we signed up for this company they wanted a lot of pay every month, we talked them down on this and got a fairly good contract we thought. Basically they would guarantee the check and if it was returned to us for any reason they would pay us within 7 working days. When the first bad checks showed up they told us nay-nay it takes 30 days. So we accepted this and waited for our money. Well what they did is try to deposit these checks again. The checks were originally returned stamped RTM, when I called the bank they told me that they did... read full review »

GE Microwave
September 4, 2006
I AM ANGRY!. I had my GE microwave/range wall unit installed on February 10, 2006 and I am so unhappy. My reasons are: The oven fan comes on when you set the bake time and remains on sometimes 2 hours after you have turned it off. I know that ovens need fans but why must it stay on continuously and why must it be loud. I cannot sit in my breakfast room or talk on the phone without hearing that annoying roar. I have owned GE appliances before and never have I had an over with a fan that is loud. No one wants to cook and hear the fan... read full review »

Sicile June 27, 2011
Very angry with them on their auto-renewal policy. Had called them last year after their auto renewal had happened to cancel auto renewal. This year, they conveniently didn't have record and charged me the amount again. They have a no-refund policy, and the credit card company won't do anything about it... SO make sure to hang on to any "confirmation number" they give you if you cancel the service, or they will keep charging ENDLESSLY. A very poor policy, and a way to dishonestly keep stealing money from their customers. read full review »

Telco Solutions
Telcolied December 12, 2009
One of their reps recruited me to sell Clear and Telecom products to companies. They promised the customers more than they could do or anything to get in their pockets and promised me that I was on this great pay plan. Of course when payday came and they were paid the money that I made they decided not to pay it. They lied to me about what I'd make and when I'd make it. Then the owner Travis Taylor told me that I never worked for his company but worked for his rep. I worked at Telco out of their office and I sold all the product... read full review »

This website is TERRIBLE. DO NOT give them your money. I ordered two items almost a MONTH ago, and they are lost. I cannot contact a REAL PERSON by phone, and when I fill-out their online contact form, I only get a generic response by email from a computer. Their online form to report a "Lost Order" doesn't even work! It says, "to report an order as lost, use the drop-down menu next to the item and select Lost Order." BUT - there is NO drop-down menu on the entire page! You can't even send them an email very easily -... read full review »

Andrew Pak, Sung Jin Pak, born 05/16/82, operates under multiple aliases and runs offshore accounts to keep his assets discreet. He is guilty of intent to fraud, conversion, and investment fraud. He is notoriously known in Los Angeles for scamming people as I have evidence and people to support my claim. He told me about how he intentionally crashes a business and does this offshore account where he would get blank visa /mastercards. He stated that this was a business secret and must be done meticulously. He is a threat to society as our... read full review »

Tripadvisor.com
November 27, 2008
The short version: Tripadvisor has a review system which allows anyone to post anything about any hotel, regardless of whether they have even stayed there. This allows all sorts of people to abuse the system. An example: a hotel was blackmailed and told that if they didn't give a former guest some money, the guest would write a false malicious review to harm the business. Tripadvisor would not take down the false review nor would they allow the hotel management to respond properly to the review. The result is that anyone reading... read full review »

Volkswagen of America
December 21, 2006
I purchased a 2004 Passat TDI in July 2005 from VW of America. It was a buyback with claims that the engine did not start, probably due to failure to understand what a glow plug indicator light was all about, or so I assumed. In the last year and a half I have been very pleased with all of the features that the car offered, good milage, reasonable maintenance costs etc. I have had all service done by VW at the local dealership at the intervals stipulated. On December 10, 2006 while driving the service indicator lights came on stating... read full review »

December 21, 2007
Lexington Law (John C. Heath, Esq.) steals money by never authorized posting of bills to Credit Card Accounts, even after the account is closed. In my case they were supposed to bill my Western Union CC on the 4th of each month. Instead, they bill on the 2nd and then erratically, to justify charging extra, when money were not available. Hilton Honors
Jeff Cashman February 11, 2009
Hilton Honors website (www.hiltonhonors.com) proclaims: "No Blackout Dates - No exceptions" The fine print reads "If there's a standard room available at any Hilton Family hotel or resort worldwide you can redeem points for it. No exceptions, no fine print. It's that simple." It's actually not that simple. The use of the adjective "standard" to describe the "standard rooms" in the policy is a huge qualifier. My 92 year old mother ordered a FlavorWave oven from Thane after seeing their infomercial. She received the oven but did not receive the $59.85 Chef's Kit that she ordered with it. They charged her an outrageous $39.90 for shipping also. I called Thane on her behalf and they said that they packed the chef's kit with the oven. They did not. Recently, after a break in our local water main, we had fine sand and gravel clogging our plumbing fixtures. I took apart our Delta kitchen faucet (which had been working fine before this), and when I reinstalled it, I couldn't get it to stop leaking. The next day my wife called Benjamin Franklin after our other choices could not come that day. Turns out he sold my wife a $420 new faucet (including installation). Ultimate Iron Works
Murphy July 30, 2010
After receiving a payment of $2300 for material cost up front, Ultimate Iron Works failed to properly staff the job, failed to provide the materials I paid for in advance. After multiple requests to return and perform the scope of work you eventually stop taking my calls never returning to the job, basically becoming unreachable. As a result of unreasonable length of delay, failing to provide and install materials at the time originally anticipated has cause a serious safety problem in my house for family, friends, and guests which conditions include, without limitation, trip hazards, 15 ft. fall hazards. Don't use these crooks. read full review »
