Bank of America Reviews

modification & insurance check
I applied and finally after obtaining an attorney, got a small loan modification from bank of america which finalized this year. I had some damage to my flooring due to a water leak so Mercury Insurance issued me two checks, the first to get me started replacing the floor and the 2nd one to finish. The first check was fine, but the 2nd one was payable to myself and b of a. B of A is holding the money because I received a modification. Now my living room and hallway is concrete while i wait to see whether they are going to release the check. If they do, I have to take it to the flooring company and they have to sign off the check with me, then I have to send it back to B of A for them to release the funds. I pay the insurance. What gives B of A the right to take it from me? Isn't their a law against this?

Property Claims Department
I had a fire at my home in 2009. I received a Check from the Insurance company and told to sign the check send it back to Bank Of America I did. I paid out of pocket to have the work done myself, mailed in all my paperwork, supplies I purchased, sent in the contractor bids and paid them has well. All I wanted was to be reimbursed from the insurance money that I was due. I had over $8, 000 dollars of repairs done. I was just informed that I would only receive $919.00. Bank of America has just commented Fraud. That insurance money was for the repairs I had done. The inspector came our signed off 100% completed by me. Now they want to send me only $919.00 for all that work I had paid for. Now I'M in forclosurer and they want to kick me out of my house and keep the money too. I was not in forclosurer when my house caught fire. Now I told they can use the money to add to my account. That not right. I need a lawyer

Unable to open a bank account
I have opened bank accounts and at present have a checking and savings account. Have never had a problem. Tried opening an account with Bank of America and after giving my social security card was told the your bureau had a message the said credit established prior to SSn issue date. I called social security office and they said the number had not be used by anyone. My credit report from you shows that before I had my social security card I had a Penneys and Sears card from my husband who had established credit with them. I merely had my a card with my name on it but it was not my social number used to open the account it was my husband's. When I received my naturalization papers then a social security card was issued to me. I have always manintained good credit and have an excellent score. I cannot understand this report about prior credit and would like to have it cleared.

Rip off
Since Jan of this year Bank of America took out hunderds of my money out of my checking account to pay for things on the web that I never did and so my rent check came back nsf and my last 2 paychecks where put in my checking account again think I took care of the problem will boy was I wrong and so I put my last paycheck in my saving account because I was told checking can not touch it so I went to the back to take my money out so I can pay my rent and start paying back rent and they took all of my money out of my saving and put it all in my checking and I could not touch it. I had no money to live on till my next pay day which I get paid once a month and now I'm being kicked out of my apartment with no where to go and no food and I still have to go to work. Thanks to Bank of America I'm now going to be homeless I'm just waiting for the police to come over and kick me out and do a pock out on my apartment. Do not trust Bank of America they will rip you off and leave you pennyless and homeless.

Account Problem
I kept my account open and opened another account with my husband. I had asked the teller if there was a problem doing this, he said, "No". It should be fine. So I listened to the idiot. I said, if there was an overdrawn amount on this account will the main joint account take over and pay for the amount used, he said, "YES". So, when I went to used the account the lady at the counter said, that the account was overdrawn. It was not, because the money would automatically withdraw from the joint account. The amount was withdrawn. A few months later I start receiving letters from a collection agency that I owe over 500 dollars, but that the will settle the amount with only 300.00 something dollars. I went to the bank and talked to the manager of that bank, he just blew me off and told me to pay it and that he is not going to look into this account and had me sent out of the bank, by a security guard without looking into this account. He was very unhelpful. Nasty thing. So, I called the collection agency and they told me to look for the evidence that the amount was already taken out of the account. I sent them the paperwork and have lost it. Now I'm stuck with an amount of 500 to pay back without any evidence that the amount was already taken care of out of the joint account.

Fees
I cancelled my Alaska Airlines bank of america over a year ago, but yet the bank keeps it open AND charges me an annual service fee. This is fraudalant and coercive. All my complaints have returned back to me stating that I agreed to this service charge, yet I have the documents showing that I cancelled the credit card over a year ago. What can I do against a company like Bank of America?

Didn't close out loan - 10 months later
I completed a short sale, closing on my house on 8/30/2010. This is now May, and I have learned that my loan was not closed out, and when I called BOA about this, they informed me that my home was in foreclosure and should be vacated. Again, I closed on the sale of my home in August of 2010! They did not apply the wire transfer of my proceeds properly, they tell me. They will 'escalate' this problem and I should receive a 'Credit Correction Letter' within 15 days. She even gave me a specific date I should receive this by - May 3rd. Well, it is now May 10, and SHOCKER, I have not received the letter.
I called back today, little to behold, they have no record of my earlier call. So, again, the rep George, tells me he will escalate the problem. I ask to speak to his supervisor after telling George I've been told this story before. The supervisor Bruce tells me that I will receive a call within 5 days after escalating the problem.

My credit has been damaged not only with the embarrassment of a short sale I had to complete, but now being open for 10 months AFTER the short sale, 'missing' all of those payments.

LMAO - they tell me I should vacate the property. THERE IS A NEW OWNER!!!

Bank of America - I will do my best to get this story heard. What a disgrace you are!

Loan modification
Let me first state that Bank of America is the lowest form of life and that I never wanted them as my Mortgage company, they just happened to take over when Countrywide went out.It took them 7 months to make a descision on my loan modification and then turn me down.In that 7 months they kept losing paperwork and I had to keep faxing them 2 times a week.It cost me over $50 to do that.I appealed it and they turned me down right away, they offered no other help.It is actually the investors who are the biggest scum on the face of the earth.I have talked to many people and all I hear them say is that BOA is the worst bank to deal with.I THINK THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD, FOR LYING, (which they did to me), FOR NOT USING OBAMA'S MODIFICATION PLAN THE CORRECT WAY, IF I COULD I WOULD GET A PROTEST STARTED TO GET THEM OF THE FACE OF THE EARTH.I HOPE THE INVESTORS ROT IN HELL!!
