I can tell you for a fact that no credit cards numbers are linked to their system. SO don't listen to this. It is a easy ploy to get consumers to give their card number. What they have in their systems is basically nothing. Since most consumers know the first digit of credit card numbers they start with this. Example Visa- 4, Mastercard-5, Discover-6, and Amex-3. I was contacted by a Reader's Source rep a couple months ago who told me I had opened an account with them 4 or 5 years ago which obligated me to a 5 year subscription to several magazines. The support department is a joke. I tried the live chat and could never get anybody. I sent them an email about the problem and never got a response. The program has a major problem with it. If you scan the system registry - it finds all these errors. Then you take the check mark out of the 'select all' box (default). Then you select the ones that you want it to fix. Like other reports I read on you site, I too was sold a magazine subscription by a young man going door to door in our neighborhood. He said he was selling in order to get points to get a free trip. I bought a 24 month subscription to Prevention magazine- they didn't offer a 12 month subscription, on September 3rd, 2008. On February 25, 2009, I purchased meals at Zaxby’s for $21.10. When the clerk swiped my card I noticed she looked puzzled and stopped to ask a co-worker to look at the screen. I purchased dvd's of the TV series "High Chapparel" only to receive them and discover they are pirated copies recorded from Pay Tv channel "Hallmark" because they have the Hallmark logo on the bottom of the picture. Also they unwatchable. I am going to pursue this matter with the Australian Governments Board of Piracy or alternatively the Australian Federal Police.
